Water in the boot shouldn't be coming from the targa. I'd say it could be coming from the resar screen rubber, the rear lights seals or the washer jet(leaking hose).

My targas leak like a sieve too, but I just leave a seat cover over them to catch the drips and then tip the water out while I'm waiting for the engine to warm up. I have tried to figure out where its coming from but the cause still remains a mystery for now!

there will be some oil in the butter but I wouldn't want to rub crunchy peanut butter into my targa rubbers, what an arse ache to clean them again :lol:

Was it this zed by any chance?

Clean it will cola, if it dissolves teeth it can dissolve nearly anything :)

To be honest, it was In pretty good shape except the rear of the sills which he said needed welding and the rear spoiler which was well past its sell by date. Other than the wheels and some crystal rear lights (to replace cracked/grazed originals) it was completely original. I didn't realize there was another zed in Colchester other than mine and taff's.

I went for a little drive into town and spotted a UK zed at the petrol station. Pulled in and had a little chat with the bloke. Apparently he only lives down the road from me but never uses his zx because (in his words) its just a novelty car.

Given the choice of the 89 or 95 spoiler, I'd stick with the 89! For some reason i just don't think the later one suits the zed.

My mates megane has been making that grinding/tapping noise on start up? I keep telling him to get it looked at but he doesn't think its serious. He just revs the guts out of it until it stops.

Good luck if he thinks he's going to get that much £ for it, it'll cost far to much to turn that back into a zed you wouldn't be ashamed to be seen driving.

Update.... Still smoke free after 2 weeks of wearing a patch.
