newbie midlands
Not many at all. I work 3 miles from work and after warming up, cooling down and the short drive I use about £30 a week. To be honest though, and all 300 owners will agree, its not about the milage costs etc, its about the thrill of the car! Once you drive one you will know what I mean. I've had a auto n/a, a manual n/a and an auto TT. Given the choice again I would choose a manual every time as the auto just doesn't feel like the sports car its pretending to be.

Electrical Issue
If it is the white box, do you have a pic or part numbers that are written on it? As I think I have a known working one in my pile of left over bits.

Leg injury question
"Had a bit of a tight muscle" "massaged it in the shower to try and loosen and soften it" Sorry for taking the piss considering the injury and pain you went through, but those statements are hilarious!!

third brake light and perspex strip
It is not a legal requirement for a third brake light in the UK. Don't have a clue about the other questions you asked though.

giving up smoking.
To be honest, its not the money side of things that bother me as we usually buy a bulk load of baccie at a time for half price. For me its more the coughing up shit all the time, getting out of breathe easily and stinking like an ash tray. I'll just take each day as it comes and try my hardest to withstand the urge!

giving up smoking.
I know people who have used champix and they said it made them really sick every time they tried smoking, only reason I'm not on them yet is cause I thought I'd try giving up without the aid of pills first.

giving up smoking.
I really do want to give up! I'm just on the patches at the moment but I have been chewing gum (not nicotine gum) all day until it turns to paste  and that has helped a little. What isn't helping at the moment (as I already mentioned) is the missus keep coming in smelling like fags!

Bargain lock quadrants in metal here now!
you assume correctly mate :) I agree with your sliding comment! My zed is in use every day no matter what the weather, in fact a day doesn't go past when I'm not having a little drifting practice on the way to and from work

Never heard of vaping before. I've tried a vapouriser before in Amsterdam :)

Bargain lock quadrants in metal here now!
How many did you originally have made mate? I noticed when I bought mine earlier that you didn't have many left. There are probably more zeds about than you'd believe, although most of them are tucked up for most of the year due to the shitty UK weather.

giving up smoking.
I've been smoking now for nearly 18 years, why I started I will never know! I've been thinking about giving up for years but lack of will power has always stopped me trying. The time has now come for me to actually give it a go! I signed up to a quitting program with boots yesterday to start today. I didn't expect it to be easy but f**k me do I want a fag so badly already! My other half has also signed up to the program but she isn't going to start till tuesday (don't ask me why). She keeps sneaking out for fags today thinking I won't notice but as soon as she comes back indoors, its all I can smell!!! I know success is all down to will power so I am going to persevere but its so much harder already than I thought! Anyone got any tips for me to keep me on the right track?

ZX Virgin from London
When you write your post, you will see at the top right of the box a little square with as tree in it. Press that and it should give you the option to upload an image, well that works for me anyway.

Bit of progress.........
Im with stellaz on this one, love the whole one piece panel idea/design! Not a fan of the arrows either though, although if you don't try different things you'll never know what work or looks best.

Want to paint the dishes on my rims gloss back.......
Think those wheels are stunning as they are but also love them in the second photo with black spokes.

Welded diff VS HICAS
Have to agree there! Since removing my hicas (which was working fine), the car has felt so much better at speed!

flashing power light.
Cheers mate, I'll try and check that out asap! Need to go under the bonnet again soon anyway as I still haven't bothered ripping out the last of the hicas shit.

flashing power light.
You mentioned that even the battery could be the cause!? I found that my battery negative terminal was very loose today, could that have possibly been the cause? Although it hasn't had the problem since I did the gearbox diagnostic check.
