  1. Just been busy with this that and the other. Logging in while skint and seeing all the nice things for sale is also kinda heartbreaking too :p
  2. Might do depending on the day. Might be able to get some non Z's along too if they want to do it :)
  3. There is a jig you can make, and simply glue it back down, with the jig keeping pressure on that area. Theres a tutorial somewhere, might be on twinturbo.net
  4. That's beautiful
  5. Baz, I hate you!
  6. You can get the fault codes from the ECU itself with just a screwdriver. Try unplugging the wire to the coil pack, and if it runs differently, it's working - if it's the same, then it's the coil pack/spark plug. A lot of these things are just trial and error, but try getting the fault codes first >> http://www.ttzd.com/tech/diagnostictech.html

  8. Get the tester to show where in the testing manual that fails under. It's new to me. Perhaps Paul C who actually tests them can shed some light, I just used to work in the office at a testing station :).
  9. Certainly was, and with having the air filter so low, I had to often cut onto the other side of the road (full of traffic) to stay safe... I probably got some rather angry remarks. My air filter is probably no more than 10 inches off the ground, while most in their modern boxes are pretty safe to about a metre of water...
  10. http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/474589_10151899011705151_519019975_o.jpg - nearish to me. I had a right nightmare trying to get home from work... I expected the engine to flood numerous times going through some deep water.
  11. THIS! Not a fan of that front myself, but I like your other designs!
  12. Electrical problems are difficult to diagnose without various tests. It's a delicate issue and if people aren't experts, then it's more worthwhile to visit an expert.
  13. Remove it and put some carb cleaner on it, it might sort it out - if not you might need to get a new one.
  14. I don't have any of the red one :( I also saw Wicked Coatings white Z too :p
  15. I wasn't there, but my friend took a couple of pics;
  16. try google goggles app on iphone. u can take a picture and it will translate stuff for ya

I'll be at the JNE meet. Not that mine is anything to look at though lol! This can't be stressed enough. Two months ago, 5 idiots in VTEC BRAAAAP BRAAAAP mobiles had wheelspun out the carpark, and doing this can affect the location significantly. Theres a lengthy road outside, so wait until then :)
  18. It depends on your usage. The 350Z is very comfortable and has a lot of toys, but the S2000 is a pure driving machine. If you're doing a lot of motorway miles, then I'd suggest the Z, if not then the S2000.
  19. Someone been reading this? http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2763036 :D
  20. Saw you drive past. I wasn't in my Z unfortunately.
  21. I like my postage insurance, I'm sure if the one who ordered the wheels would have had insurance too :) If not, it's their own fault!
  22. For it's age, the auto box, if properly maintained is pretty damn good. When cold, mine does like to hesitate, and likes to mimic a very slipping clutch sometimes though! LOL The worst thing of all is the turbos. You need to listen for any noise and oil usage, otherwise it's an expensive job. After I bought mine, I heard a slight noise of the turbos, then 2 months later the seals broke on one side :( It only cost me £500 in labour to renew though, but most garages would quote you more than that. Rust on the sills is another hotspot, mine had it on all 4 corners, and it can look a lot better until you start chopping into the sills. Targa leaks too - next to the ECU I have a big leak somewhere, and theres a bit of rust under the carpet :( That's my experiences at least, others may have other points to look at though.
  23. As far as I know, the first few are the model number, and the next are just numbers. I don't think it's as thorough as the international VIN numbers.
