Best v8 to stick in a zed?
how about a VR38 swap if you're feeling flush? :p saw one on fleabay for £7000! not a V8, but it'd be an epic swap

seriously disheartened now and just wanna burn the car help!
is your exhaust complete two sections or do they go into one? it's strange for both turbo seals to go at once, when mine went, it was just one side, it started off smoking bad when driving, after about 5 miles, it got progressively worse until just driving at 15mph to the local garage was like i was one of the red arrows! lol have you checked anything on your ECU, and how is the oil level?

car pc screens
i may be wrong, but can't you just wire the car amp to the pc sound card if you're doing that sort of install? most monitors provided they have a pc hookup port should fit in no problem too, and with the right software, you'd have far greater control of the sound settings than your head unit if you're really clever, i guess you could wire up a laptop touchpad too or buy one of these; http://www.reghardware.com/2009/04/20/smarttrack_neo/

DVLA and databases
Can't you take it to a local company that you can take the paperwork to instead? Even if it's just to get a quote

hey everyone
Did you by any chance have the airbrushed 100nx? And handling the Z is fine, i've driven cars that have felt heavier (particularly newer BMW's) and not had much of a problem. i'm 5'6 so about average height, but i've had a load of lads give me funny looks driving my Z As with any nissan, rust is the big issue :( theres loads of topics to help you find the problem, and even people will try to help as much as they can

Widest tyres on a z?
the car is very controllable despite being a barge, if you don't give it any power, it'll just understeer - it's the 200sx which are lethal at any speed lol i'm running 235/60/16's on the rears on the jspec rim, the speedo is correct at least, and oversize tyres will be the new thing lmao
-
Its all about the rubber
Wider tyres front or rear will change the steering feel somewhat, moreso changing the fronts Larger profile tyres will give some sidewall movement, and it becomes more noticeable with stiffened suspension - you do need some movement though

Boost cut off
any fault codes? could be down to a problem with air/fuel/ignition flow if theres no codes

NZR - How easy is it to change an Almera timing chain?
The N15 didn't come as a 1.5. The N16 1.5DCi unit is a Renault engine, and I'm 99% sure it's a BELT not a chain.

THE BIG ONE (Dalton park huge meet 29th of July)
Birdy, are you travelling down alone, or fancy joining us from the valley? I'm not 100% sure that will be the plan as yet, but could text u when we're approaching a certain junction i guess?

Got mine yesterday As awesome as the keychains were, I feel if they were in my pocket/bag it might tear the lining, so I chose not to use it :( The rest of the goodies were pretty nice!

THE BIG ONE (Dalton park huge meet 29th of July)
Well, I've got no idea where the route is going, I'll be somewhere in the back of the convoy while the 1.1 Paxo's max out at 90mph down a hill with a headwind! Could text/call on the way though if you want.

THE BIG ONE (Dalton park huge meet 29th of July)
I'll be going to it, and possibly starting the convoy from Team Valley, where a few from Secta NE will be heading from. A few of us from Tunedcar.co.uk are using CB radios, got one in the Z, it's hilarious on long trips :D

speed sensor help
autos have a common fault where the auto gearbox sensor gets damp, and causes it to malfunction until it's dry again. You get no speedo, which causes the speed sensitive p/s to not work, and the hicas light to illuminate and fail too. You either need a new one, or to repair it

What fuel do you use
If you keep running a JDM import on 95, then eventually it will start to splutter and lose some power and economy. When I first bought mine I had to fill it up with 95, no decent service stations around, and it felt like I hit a brick wall when I approached 70mph. On V-Power, it's smooth as anything. When I drove 150 miles to Stockport, I tried 95, and it used practically £40 worth and that was at 56mph behind a truck all the way - on the way back, Tesco 99 I used £30 with a heavy right foot...

classic car insurance costs
£240 a year, 25, 2NCB, Female, and garaged - I think the last could be your problem, as my Z has to be tucked up in the garage every night to be insured.

USB drives can sometimes diminish over time, try transferring one of the files to the pc and playing it from there?
