Stopped cheque?
I had a new customer (member of the public, not a business) pay me (Limited company) by cheque for a job last week. Cheque has been returned to me today marked as "Stopped" The customer seemed very happy with the work carried out and I've heard nothing from them since. I've also been charged 4 quid for the privilege! It's not a great deal of money but it's the principle as far as I'm concerned. I've called and left a message on her answering machine this afternoon. Any (sensible!) ideas on the best way I should handle this? CheerZ Steve :)

If she was pissed and breathalysed, her insurance may not pay out :( Not sure if that's just for her vehicle or if it applies to third party claims as well... Hope you get it sorted! Steve :)

Thanks Mark - I'll try to get around to that soon ;) Meanwhile, managed to pass the MOT retest this morning. Managed to bodge the turbo leak with some exhaust tape  But at least she's running (slowly!) now and I might even get my arse to the the SC meet on the 28th! Steve :)

The saga continues...
Had some time today to try to fix my leaky tub. First I examined the T25 turbo and sure enough, the design is almost identical to the T28. However, the wastegate poppet valve (thanks Andy ;) ) should be connected through to the internal wastegate which I guess is now bouncing around freely inside and fooking my turbine blades :( Less than 200 miles travelled since the turbos were installed and it's most likely engine out again and turbo off. Fook me I'm sooo pissed off  On the plus side, maybe I can get the work done properly this time round... Thanks for all the help and advice offered so far. It doesn't look like this is going to get sorted out any time soon though.... Steve :(

sill welding and brake line replacement
My inner section was also replaced - I've just checked the invoices and the welding and treatment work was £276 and the replacement sills (inner and outer) were £135. Total therefore was £411 for one side. Sorry about the duff info - my memory's not what it used to be ;) :D Steve :)

In just over 10 years Paul - one failed series 1 PTU and one water leak. The rest of my problems have been from entrusting it to the same crap mechanic... :xxx: Steve :)
