  1. Firstly, this is nothing to do with the current industrial action. My postman seems to be arriving later and later these days :( It used to be nice and early (before 8am) then this splipped to 1-2pm but now we're not getting our post until 4-5pm! As I work from home and mostly get paid by cheque, it's almost always too late to get to the bank and pay in :( It's therefore costing me money  Does anyone else have late deliveries or is it just me? :smash: Have I got grounds for an official complaint? Steve :)
  2. Did you use the bleed valve on the drivers side of the engine bay? I had this problem a couple of times due to a leak in my slave cylinder. Open the bleed valve, cover your paintwork or run a tube from the valve, pump the clutch and you should feel the pedal resistance return as the air is expelled.. Steve :)
  3. LOL - I needed that on a Monday morning!
  4. LOL - we get quite a few loud zorsts on our street - downside of living on a main road. Thank Christ for double glazing ;) :D Yes the black Zed is my bro-in-law's which I borrowed for a couple of meets when you had your Zed. It's not moved for almost 2 years now. I fixed the autobox problem and just need to wire in his leccy driver's seat, finish the front bumper, install 99 rear lights and get it back on the road. He doesn't seem to be that bothered at the moment and I'm not going to spend time on it on my own... Saying that, I think Sarah's getting a bit fed up with it being sat on the drive :smash: Always pop in if you're passing bud - be good to catch up! CheerZ Steve :)
  5. LOL - arrrrgggh! It's worse than I'd imagined  If I bung the hole, do you think I can run it 2 miles off boost for the MOT and back? What tub have you got Mark? I'm not sure of the differences  I've still got my old T25s sitting on the bench in the garage but these are provisionally sold ;) Thanks bud - will see what Mark's got first and keep this on reserve  CheerZ fellas! Steve :)
  6. They were Jock's old ones Mark. Ryan bought them for "another customer" who backed out of the deal. As a result I never even laid eyes on them - just dropped my car at Ztech and left things with him :( They weren't brand new but had been reconditioned... I've got pretty good access to the wastegate rod and the mounting hole. Not sure I'll be able to get hold of the parts and if so, whether they can be installed in situ  If I block off the adjustment mounting hole I guess I'll need to stick the wastegate open to avoid damaging the turbo. Priority for me at the moment is just to get it through the MOT on Saturday.. :( Thanks for all the advice so far - I really appreciate it   Steve :)
  7. LOL - I am the king of misinformation! I hooked the car up to Conzult to check the O2 readings and they were both varying nicely with revs. Pass side was showing lean owing to the leak I guess.. Back under the car, closer inspection revealed that the hole is ACTUALLY on the T28 tub. Further investigation showed the wastegate adjustment rod is lose and no longer connected to the tub. You guessed it - the hole is where the adjustment rod should be attached :( Any suggestions? Off to slit my wrists in a mo... :( Steve
  8. Nice one - I'd forgotten about that trick ;) :D
  9. Nice one Mark - I may take you up on that! Are there any other connectors or bolts I'll need or does the sensor screw straight into the elbow? Steve :)
  10. Need I say more?
  11. LOL - how the fook can an O2 sensor just disappear? I thought they were a bugger to remove! I can't see any trace of the cable either (using my torch and angled mirror on an extension!) That'll explain this then.... Does anyone know the thread size I need to block the hole off? I know she'll run rich but will this get her through the MOT ok? CheerZ Steve :)
  12. I've been under the car today to have a look. The seals are all fine but there is a round hole in the top of the passenger turbo elbow which looks like something was screwed into it (O2 sensor?) Can anyone advise on what I'm missing and the best way to fix it to get her through the MOT retest? CheerZ Steve :)
  13. LOL - that was my guess as well
  14. Hi Paul - how are you doing mate?! Glad you're still popping back on here and even more pleased to hear that you might be returning to the world of Zed ownership  I've got a black UK that's been sitting on my drive for over 12 months - interested? My bro in law's insurance reminder has just landed on my doormat so I'll see what he's going to do with it ;) Seriously though, have to get together soon for a beer and a catch up! CheerZ Steve :)
  15. Thanks Mark but already decatted and I'm not looking to spend too much at the moment. Tightening the bolts would be a good call though ;) :D CheerZ Steve :)
  16. LOL - no I played the 1080P demo of Gran Turismo HD before it was taken off the Playstation Store (boo!) and it seemed to be a much better picture  You're right about the titles I listed above - they are definitely 720P ;) Steve :) *EDIT* Sorry for the hijack :slap:
  17. Gotcha - thanks bud! I'll have a go at undoing these bolts over the weekend and see what the damage is ;) Steve :)
  18. I realise that the games are not all 1080P. However, the one's I've played so far that are (TV tells you when it switches modes) look awesome  Steve :)

I'm guessing it's Wilsons in Epsom who are doing the work - that's where I bought my Zed just over 10 years ago! I think they're still pretty good and they still have a couple of old school tech boys there who are familiar with the Zed.. Welcome to the world of Zed ownership and get yourself to a meet soon! CheerZ Steve :)
  20. Happy bday bud - have a goodun :duffer: CheerZ Steve :)
  21. Got mine yesterday and well impressed. Full 1080P and streaming my downloaded movies from my Vista Media Server  Just need to buy a Blu-Ray disk now  Online ID: Cybernet Resistance: Fall of Man Motorstorm CheerZ Steve :)
  22. Well the MOT was this morning and she failed :( Emmissions could not be measured because the air leak in the exhaust system was so bad.. While under the car, we established that the leak is probably where the pass side downpipe meets the tub. You could actually feel the air if you stuck your hand up by the joint... This downpipe obviously would have been reattached when the tubs were upgraded. However, the bolts look quite rusty and almost untouched  Looks like some liquid gasket has been applied to the joint as well... I'm going to undo the downpipe and see if I can get a better seal. Just hoping to christ that it isn't a crack or something more serious :( Should I get hold of the proper gasket for this or would a homemade effort suffice to get her throught the test? She also failed on the following: Front wipers fooked Front ns headlight aim too low Offside rear reg plate lamp not working I've booked the retest for tomorrow week - wish me luck! CheerZ Steve :)
  23. And an after market boost gauge if not already fitted... Steve :)
  24. No way - some people have stuck up for this other guy ;)
  25. It's just been brought up in the mods section Mark. Hopefully some progress will be made soon  Steve :)
