How the hell did you manage that Andy? I thought he'd disappeared forever! Quality international detective work  Back on topic, It would be nice to see some more tangible benefits to subbed members. The magazine would have been a quality joint venture and it's a pity if we've missed the boat on that :( I still think that the membership packs were a good move forward, but obviously they don't help to boost renewals. IMO one of the top reasons for membership in the past was to participate in group buys. We've had some great ones over the years! There just don't seem to be that many going on these days :( Bottom line is the social side and the feeling of belonging to something worthwhile. I'm sorry to say that some older standing members I've spoken to recently have decided not to renew because of the "politics" which is a real shame :( CheerZ Steve :)

Fuel Protest THIS saturday
Government is the UK is a money pit. We can't do anything about this until an election (and the alternatives may not be any better) but we can take direct action against the rising (and largely unnecessary) tax hikes. The root of the problem is piss poor administration and waste. Standing outside your local town hall with a placard is not going to acheive anything. Gordon Brown might not give a toss if the M1 is blocked, but alot of other people will and these are his potential voters. He will care about that ;) I'm not a big fan of the French, but at least they take decisive, organised action which has the desired results on the whole... Steve :)

Have you got a DHCP server running on your router Martyn, or do you have a static IP on your PC? The XBOX, PC and router must all be using addresses from the same subnet (eg: 192.168.1.x) HTH Steve :)

PS3 or Xbox 360 ?
I looked into this quite carefully and went with the PS3 just after the recent price drop. The existing games are superb (we could just do with a few more of 'em!) The Bluray quality is amazing as is the standard DVD upscaling. Just got hold of The Simpsons game and it's a blast :D Have set my PC up as a media server (using TVersity) and can play all of my music and movies (inc DIVX) straight onto the box in the lounge. This was a huge plus! Overall very pleased with my experience so far - absolutely no regrets! CheerZ Steve :)
