  1. Jock was helping me remove my top water pipe today in order to replace the two short rubber pipes connecting it to the engine (one of 'em is split :( ) This requires the removal of three bolts using a long reach hex tool. The first one we tried (top right) has sheared the inside of the hex slot making it impossible to turn  Have since tried a couple of ideas but without success... Finally ran out of time today and I had to leave the car on Jock's drive  Have removed the fan shroud and the rad to give as much room to work as possible but it's very difficult to get anything in there to work with.. Does anyone have any ideas how to get this bolt out? We've considered drilling it but even that is very difficult and we're worried about the quality of the the resultant seal under pressure.. Big thanks to Jock for all his help and patience today  Any help and advice very much appreciated. Can take some pics tomorrow if required.. CheerZ Steve
  2. Just had an SP30 expire on my licence but in Feb this year I got an SP60 for 79 in a 60 on an A road in Devon. Late at night, no other traffic, straight road etc.. :xxx: This has bumped up my insurance on my daily drive by over £100  Alex, the NIP only has to reach the hire company in 14 days. They then pass your details back to the police who then send the NIP to you. :( CheerZ Steve PS. Had a total of 18 points to date - all speeding :(

Bit of a generalisation - why would not keeping it garaged make it rust more underneath? As I understand it, underside rust is primarily started by corrosive salt from UK winter roads... Mine's fine though  Steve :)
  5. LOL - Come over to the Dark Side James... Steve

  7. Stu I've got one for a manual with stock wheels. Think it was based on AndyP's DAT file. Let me know if you want it... Steve :)
  8. Tricky Mike, but I would say about £6,500. Maybe £6,000 cos it's white ;) But then again I'm biased... :) Steve
  9. Try here Steve :)

  11. It was at Bolney last weekend. Link here Steve :)
  12. LOL - it was a goodun! Not a great turnout for the Zeds tho - only 4 turned up and one of them wasn't even from here! :nono: Big thanks to AndrewG and Jock for hanging around at Pease Pottage whilst I got recovered (coolant leak  ). Still nice day and great weather... Steve
  13. Paul's right but you can do this without removing the wheel arch liner... Straighten out a wire coat hanger and tape your wires to the end of it. Then, from the inside of the car, poke it gently through the bonnet release cable grommet. Try to angle it up slightly (or bend the hanger) and it should appear in the engine bay. Be careful not to scratch the paintwork inside the engine bay - maybe tape around the sharp point just to be safe... Managed to feed my gauge senders through the firewall this way... HTH Steve
  14. Just got a price for the same rims you were quoted for - £869.50 without rubber! :( Apparently, they were selling the old RSR stock before replacing them with the new ("almost chrome") style finish. Well p*ssed off as I would have had their arm off to get the older style (which I prefer) for such a great price. CheerZ Steve :(

  19. Nice one mate - are you taking it to Wallington? If so, good installers over there... If you want to hear the medium loudness, drop me a line and pop over before you see them. CheerZ Steve ;)

  23. Does anyone know if the OEM front fog lights will part of the new bumper? CheerZ Steve
  24. Yep - that should cut the cost down! If you call their freephone number and speak to one of their technical guys (they know the 300 quite well), they should be able to give you an approximate quote over the phone. You then just have to decide on which tailpipe you want... HTH Steve
  25. I think it was about £760 - the decat pipes were made so I can keep the old cats and fit them back if I need to for MOT etc.. They've even offered to swap 'em over for me free if they're not too busy. Top customer service! Where are you based mate? CheerZ Steve
