Someone on here said they were stopping making Kahn RS-Rs (I think). The website still has them listed. Can you still get them? I like mine, but (as usual) am an expert at scuffing them up and would like a new back one. Does anyone know any place still selling them?

If i DID decide to change them, how wide can I go on the back wheels and tyres wise? Either that or has anyone got a (not kerbed!!) 17/9.5 Kahn RS-R to sell? Failing that, how do they refurbish wheels? How badly scuffed can they be before they can't be fixed?

 

Should have gone with 18s. 17s look quite wee and pathetic now I've had them for a while. The 40 and 45 profile tyres look quite chunky too. :(

 

I remember going over the pavement on my driving test and still passing. Nothing changes.

Are they 'new improved RSRs' or something? That site I put the link to above has pictures that look like they are chromed.

I bought 4 Rsr in feb04 direct from Khan design in Bradford. They had an ad on Pg69 of Feb Banzai mag offering

15" w/tyres- £250

17" w/tyres- £399

18 w/tyres- £499

 

The offer was for 4 wheels same size (18X7.5")with 215 tyres. I bought 2 18X8 and 2 18X9.5 and becasue the tyres I needed were much bigger they couldn't do such a fab deal on a complete package so i just bought the rims- £386 for the 4!

 

I'd give them a call and ask if there are any specials on now

Just got a price for the same rims you were quoted for - £869.50 without rubber! :( Apparently, they were selling the old RSR stock before replacing them with the new ("almost chrome") style finish. Well p*ssed off as I would have had their arm off to get the older style (which I prefer) for such a great price.
