Not even got it yet & already obsessed!!
Apologies mate - we're not all rude tossers.. There was a group buy on HID kits recently and you may still be able to get some. You should really join the club to qualify for the deal though... HID GB Good luck with the new car! Steve

Here's mine - wiring could be neater if I was a perfectionist... :) Steve

radar
Mine's mounted to the windscreen, rests above the rear view mirror and is permanently wired into the courtesy light circuit. Only takes a few minutes and two blobs of solder and you're away. Very visible to the driver, minimal wiring, out of sight of thieving scumbags and gives the best all round reception. Don't have a pic I'm afraid but can post one if you need it! HTH Steve

Nah - those rears are far more expensive! Shall we say a 75/25 split (in my favour)! :p Seriously mate, are you happy with a 50/50? If so how shall we sort the payment? Steve

Arguing point!
I test drove a new 3000GT before buying my second Zed. Didn't like it.. Headroom was restrictive for me and the ride wasn't as much fun. Wasn't as much of a "driver's car" as the Zed. No regrets.. Steve :)

nzr cd drive wont write files to cd?
To make sure that the CD-R drive or the CD-RW drive is recognized as a recordable drive, make sure that the Recording tab appears in the CD drive properties: Click Start, and then click My Computer. Right-click the CD-R or the CD-RW drive, click Properties, and then look for the Recording tab. If it is not there, you will need to follow this guide... http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;316529 HTH Steve

Bling'ing your Z
Only ever seen one car with this done. It was on the Audi stand at the motor show a few years back. Looked great but a bugger to keep clean. Even the smallest finger print looks awful. May well be illegal as well... Steve

Last day with the Zed
I know how bad it feels to watch it being driven away mate. So bad I had to buy another! ;) Good luck with the next project and look forward to seeing you at Billing etc... Make sure you stick around on here as well! Steve

Should I run any group buys for traders?
Agree with most of what's been said above.. My personal worry was that Macca was being taken advantage of and doing jobs that Luke should be doing himself, but I think he's answered that.. No probs - keep up the good work mate! Steve :)

Engine cut when cold
Never done this before though... Car's behaved well for 7 years (apart from the PTU failure). I know you shouldn't floor it before the engine's up to temp, but shouldn't it be in safety boost until warmed up..? Steve

Avatar choice....
No competition - HomieZ James! :D Steve PS. When's the next installment? We want more HomieZ!

Engine cut when cold
I live on quite a busy road and it's a bitch getting out of my drive sometimes. Yesterday, waited for what seemed like ages and eventually took a chance on a gap. Had to floor it to do it safely (I know... :slap: ) and the car didn't really launch well. In fact it sounded like the exhaust had fallen off (misfiring?). Got up to speed but still felt well lumpy. Got her down the road and pulled into a side turning and she stalled. Tried a rolling start and she fired up but then stalled when I stopped the car... Had a look around the back and no visible problems so started her again and no problems... Any ideas peeps? The engine felt very lumpy but has been fine since. Just wondered if there is anything obvious I should check. CheerZ Steve :) PS. Traction control was turned on but this felt much more severe than an injector cut.. PPS. Had a new series 2 PTU and doesn't seem like the same symtoms
