  1. Nasty mate did you lose skin? I've picked a few saucepans up off the cooker that have had the handles left on the flame, fecking hurts!
  2. Both looking great mate. Tell me, have you ever taken yours to the track? Just wondering how it got on with sound limits and the screamer pipes lol
  3. Leave it grey, waste of time and money painting it imo
  4. Stonechip looks really good and looks like you have been mega thorough! Did you do all around and above where the tank sits and was it a big deal to get the tank off? Does this stuff just stick to the old underseal?
  5. First link is web exclusive price only valid for the rest of today http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_811703_langId_-1_categoryId_165572 http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_811701_langId_-1_categoryId_165572
  6. Yeah I was just weighing up 9 swivel or 12 fixed sets, good discount on both. Was worried the swivel heads could actually be a hindrance even though I can see times they would be advantageous
  7. I remember someone here saying something like you can only send money as a gift if you have it in your paypal account, if it's coming off a card you get charged. Don't know if that's right or not though
  8. Did you guys get the fixed or swivel head ratchet sets?
  9. Sounds good, it's on my list for one day. What did you do underneath where the brake and hicas lines run through the plastic protector?
  10. How much torque can the aluminium ones take?
  11. Cheers Gary. Yeah my mate has a trade card, I looked into getting one myself but they wanted to see payslips from a garage or certificates. Both for forgeable I guess:whistling:
  12. What did that pack set you back mate? Now that you've done it do you reckon that's the best way to go about it?
  13. Nice car, I like that:cool2:
  14. That was one of my original options actually mate as I have quite a few different items from them and they have all been sound so far
  15. Mega helpful guys thanks a million! I just saw those Mark, bloody bargain considering they have a lifetime warranty as well. Bought a set of 4 Bluepoint adjustable grips ranging from 5-16" and a couple of pairs of mole grips recently, never realised just how useful grips were!
  16. Thanks guys, unanimous votes there makes it easier! Does anyone have an opinion on the 6 or 12 point question?
  17. I want to get a set of metric metric combination spanners. I would really like a set that the open end doesn't flare open over stiff nuts and round them off as the cheap set i've been using does. Any suggestions? Im not really in the market for Snap On stuff, as great as it is. Also..... What are your opinions on 6 and 12 point closed ends on spanners? 6 points grip better but with there being less positions available for it to slide on does this sometimes cause grief in tight situations? Cheers
  18. Does your pressure gauge have a solid or rubber shaft to it? Mine had a rubber one that had set a bit bent from the packaging and was a pig to get started into the threads as they are quite deep. I had this problem and left it on a radiator to warm up and then kept bending it back on itself to get it straight again. Something else to note is you should try to get the test completed as quickly as possible after turning the engine off so they are all read at the same temp. Why are you testing your compression?
  19. If anyone is helping you, you will know when you have cranked enough as the gauge won't go up any further
  20. Also you'll need to remove your balance bar to get to the back cylinders, be careful not to loose any of the three rubber O-rings underneath as they are expensive to replace
  21. Yep, I was going to say Longleat as well. Then you could head down to Lulworth Cove/Durdle Door/Weymouth sort of area. Few Zedders around there as well!
  22. Did you have any joy with the guy from Rackheath mate?
  23. Who's your normal company?
  24. The little vents that go in the dash?
