  1. We picked up our tree today but not putting it up yet, nice traditional pine style one that drops needles everywhere!
  2. Im sure Luke at Zcentre has delete kits for cheap. I just got some EGR plenum blanks off him and he asked if I needed a blanking nut as well
  3. What did you get the quote down to for this John?
  4. Just get Jeff to do it and don't tell the insurance company he has worked on it
  5. Sweet, did it come with the dirty exhaust?
  6. Scumbags, I hope your Zed is alarmed/immobilised as well!
  7. That is a sh1tter Rob but fingers crossed! Did the ECU's get wet in the footwell?
  8. Like Mark said get work covers, if you don't have or want to get them just remove the wings it's a ten minute job.
  9. Where are you ordering your set screws and the like from Pete? I want to replace a load of items from the engine bay with fresh stuff.
  10. I'd have a fully built and stroked VK56DE engine installed:thumbup1:
  11. Nice work dude it's alot of effort by yourself if you don't know what you're doing isn't it! Lmao, i've never seen anyone pull the whole prop out still attached before. Is there some pictures of you car anywhere on the site, I like the look of it alot:thumbup1:
  12. Jesus, how much are they new if they are that much used!?!
  13. Nice one Jimmer! Are you doing Zed builds full time now then?
  14. Have you got or are you fabricating intrusion bars onto the roll cage then Pete?
  15. Nice one mate, that's actually very refreshing to hear:clap:
  16. Looks great Pete, those windows must have saved a huge amount of weight not just with the glass removal but the window motor/switches etc as well. How much would you realistically be looking at for a Time Attack season excluding the cost of an already prepared and track tested car which itself is huge sum?
  17. Yep, I bought a cheapo pair from Wilcos when I first got my Zed thinking they would do fine but were absolute sh1t, the second I put mine down on the new ones I could see how much better they were and feel much safer working under it. Go really high as well. Those Halfords ones are only 3 tonne Mark and probably don't go as high as the Clarkes. Still do the job though!
  18. Excellent idea Roobard, M&S are doing one for 18 months or so interest free atm
  19. Yeah the interest on monthly instalments is horrendous with some companies, one of the cheaper quotes I got actually charged 30% so it was cheaper at the end of the year to pay a higher premium with lower interest
  20. Could have been worse but this has made everyone aware of the potential risk so at least something good came of it. I've been lifting my car with a small jack before on concrete and a small lip stopped the wheels rolling to compensate for the arch of the lift, luckily I noticed the base of the axle stands start to tilt off the ground. I then went out and bought some of these which made me feel a whole lot safer http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/cax-6tbc-6-ton-axle-stands?da=1&TC=SRC-axle+stands
  21. Yeah let me know. Not sure of the brand on those, they were on my shagged engine and im yet to take it apart and see if there is anything on the back. Apparently there are some uprated cams in there as well but I couldn't find any clues when I popped the rocker cover off for a look a couple weeks ago.
  22. Do you still get everyday driveability with the 500's or crappy idle?
  23. That's what I had on mine when I got it mate with a Greddy Rebic unit to control them. Mine was wired into the loom and came in at a preset rev/throttle position when the standard injectors leaned out but i've removed it now as a problem I see with it is you might get fuel spraying into the engine bay if you have atmospheric dump valves and not sure how good fuel going through compressor blades is going to be for them. I considered making a pre throttle balance tube at one point but after looking at it thought it would actually be easier to cut the flanges off, tig a beaded tube onto each and run a length of hose between them if you wanted to make one.
