  1. Ouch that's alot of money! Are you going ahead with cryo treatment?
  2. Silverline, can front brakes be swapped to the rear with an adaptor plate? Would the handbrake be an issue?
  3. Just found another video of this exhaust without the restrictor. My favourite by far http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJoPHw7hQJs
  4. Nice, is that limited mileage?
  5. Interested to see some prices on some of these things like the the 350Z caliper adaptors and fuel rail
  6. Really like this one:tongue_smilie:
  7. That's called a sequential turbo setup, I think R33 and R34 Skylines use this but i'd imagine it's alot easier to plumb together on a straight 6 than a Zed. There's some good diagrams and descriptions of how it works in detail on the net if you're interested. Twin scroll turbos are interesting as well
  8. Nice one James, got my head around alot of it and some things were not as I previously thought. Still unsure if turbos have a large effect on torque output of an engine or not though, any info on that?
  9. Can someone who has FULL knowledge and understanding of turbos explain what you are looking at on a compressor map and what you should look for when choosing turbos along with what an A/R is and trim. I've heard of choke areas on the map but what does that actually mean? When turbos are referred to as being able to produce 'X' amount of BHP, would that be the same on 1.5litre of VG30DETT engine as it would on say an SR20DETT which is a bit bigger or is it application specific. From what i've gathered, the smaller the turbine the quicker the you spool up to boost but less top end is achievable, and vice-versa on a larger turbine wheel. What differences does the size of the compressor wheel make? How do you get good spool up but still get high BHP figures? Do turbos affect torque figures is that more internal engine component related? The more info the better and anything else relevant you want to add would be great!
  10. Like you say, not the prettiest of cars but that colour combo is one of the best imo, very nice. What sort of power was your Z kicking out?
  11. That is a seriously good looking car, excellent workmanship!
  12. I feel for you mate and hope your eye is alright. Are you going to be able to work once the swelling goes down?
  13. Does it run a MAP sensor or a MAF? If it's running a MAF it could be a boost leak so you'd need to pressurise the system with something like this to check: http://www.boostpro.net/prodtester.html These can be made from wood or plastic lids the correct diameter with a tyre valve fitted into them if you don't want to buy one. It's recommended boost leak testing should become regular maintenance
  14. You use copper plugs don't you Noz? I know you'd hear det if it happened and do your setups with a det sensor but will coppers stand up to it as copper is soft in it's nature so you'd think it would deform easily. How do you know what gap to set plugs to, the higher the boost level the smaller the gap right? Would different material plugs require different gaps for the same engine?
  15. These guys that do this and have their faces in the videos are just dumb, the guy in this clip made this video to help him sell the car then got locked up for it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loCAY_ifu8I Have to agree
  16. Two of the televisions in the house need replacing so I need some advice on what to get and some questions answered as im out of touch with this sort of thing. Looking to get a pair of 24" tv's with built in free view receivers. Currently there is a single aerial powering the non sky tv's via booster/splitter box. 1. What can we actually receive with this? Im wondering if a tv with a HD free view receiver will work with a normal co-ax signal? 2. aerial and dish use the same cables right? 3. Can anyone recommend a decent 24" tv, i've been reading reviews and there seems to be all sorts of issues like slow to operate and navigate tv guides, very poor picture quality when not used with a dish (artifacts on screen) etc 4. Finally can you recommend any good sites to buy online please. Cheerz
  17. What's the extra money going to be used for guys?
  18. Love it, especially what you have done with the roof bars in gloss black
  19. What did you decide on for this in the end?
  20. Thanks Davie that's the picture I was looking for!
  21. One of our members 'Boldy' was setting up his own bodyshop and judging by his Z is very capable. Never heard if he went ahead with it or not though.
  22. From what I remember it was R34 LED rear lights behind a dark black/smoked panel. Im pretty sure I saw it on 300zxclub.com I will have a look tonight
  23. Finished item, looks gash imo http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showpost.php?p=780173&postcount=5 There is a mockup somewhere of a white Zed with R34 rear lights behind a blacked out panel which looks really good but I can't find it
