  1. That is mega cool mate, I plan to do the same if I ever have kids, current cartoons just seem pants to me. I used to love: Thundercats Transformers Visionaries (not many people remember it) Thundercats The Centurions He-Man
  2. Hi guys, Im in a bit of a pickle at the moment as my engine and gearbox are out of the car and it needs moving across the country asap. I can put the plenum back on and put it in the bay with the engine mounts bolted to the subframe but will that be rigid enough for transportation or do I need to brace the engine from moving forward and back somehow? Im not going to have time to put the gearbox back on.
  3. Paint looks great and I love the finish of the leather
  4. In the conversation he says "The rears stick out a few mm's. The fronts were spaced 15mm and now sit almost flush with the fender. Tire sizes are 285/30/19 and 235/35/19" I really hate the way conversations are threaded on TT.net

  6. I currently have a 54 plate Seat Leon FR (150 bhp tdi) and it's been constant maintenance since I got it in January even with FSH. Drives me f*cking nuts and the gear linkage or gearbox is now on it's way out. I want shot of it asap. Shame as it's a nice car to drive, give me 52 mpg on a run between Norfolk and Somerset sitting between 80-90 but i'd have the engine back in the Zed if it wasn't for that thing.
  7. I wasn't referring to the way it's fed and emptied, more that you have twice as much cooling which isn't always a good thing especially in winter
  8. Ghastly in the Zed but looks alright in the pic Znut posted
  9. Saw these a while back in my local tool shop, when I have some money to splurge im getting one. In fact I can't decide which size so i'll just get all three http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Facom-J-360-Rotator-Ratchet-3-8-Twist-Handle-Grip-For-Life-NEW-GO-NEXTDAY-3-99-/190811880848?pt=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item2c6d463d90
  10. As far as I know the Zed doesn't have a thermostatically controlled oil cooling system so it might be wise to put one in if you have a gigantic cooler. Ideally you don't want any cooling until the engines up to temp and that will hinder it. Something like either of these would work if there isn't one as standard. These are just examples not Zed specific. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UNI-MOCAL-OTSP1X-OIL-COOLER-SANDWICH-TAKE-OFF-PLATE-WITH-THERMOSTAT-SEAL-SR-/400573641721?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5d440cb3f9 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOCAL-OT-1-1-2-REMOTE-OIL-COOLER-THERMOSTAT-CIVIC-VTEC-TYPE-R-S2000-CRX-SQ-/121179057796?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c36d5ae84
  11. Why would it run back to the sump does your fill or drain from the bottom? Mines top feed and exit
  12. Im planning on filling my oil cooler then clamping the hose. Then filling it to capacity via the dipstick, cranking it, starting it, then once it's had a tickover and all the lifters are primed leave it to settle and top it up. The amount that will be used to prime the turbo, lifters and cooler lines isn't going to take you down that far on the dipstick to be of concern imo.
  13. Lol, looks like the Abflug one but i've never had a look to check. Expensive bit of kit if it is. It goes right back and wraps around the diff so I reckon it will help with the 'parachute effect' of the SWB. Not sure about it either myself but im a function over form guy so it'll probably stay as will the BGW that my girlfriend loves so much
  14. Excuse the dirt. 57" Somewhere there's a pic of Bobs car that looks like it's around the 70" mark.
  15. I don't need anything myself I was just suggesting Andy if you didn't already know about him. I thought it might save you some money on shipping and there's not the risk of it getting smash about by couriers. Do you remember that mechanic I mentioned to you last year that I was recommended by an old member? Did you ever speak to him or use him?
  16. Yeah what Richard said, fight it all the way don't just bend over. He's only trying it on so make it as hard as you can for him. Still got his address lol?
  17. Cool pics, your Zed looks ace, the paint is awesome nice work
  18. Sounds good. I think the bonnet is where you really show off an amazing paint job and colour. Did you know there is a guy called Andy who breaks Zeds over at Thetford?
  19. It's a list of stuff that can be removed isn't it, so regardless of the accuracy of weights/models/specs etc it's a pretty decent summary of things that can be ditched
  20. I have a shorty so not sure if it's the same but im sure there are a couple of drain plugs on mine at the bottom of the tank, one each side
  21. With regard to number 5, I couldn't get a disc cutter started earlier in the year that had petrol in that was a year old. Completely inert, poured some out, put a match to it and it barely burnt.
  22. Getting the car corner weighted would help balance things out again though wouldn't it?
  23. Couldn't agree more. My girlfriends cat where I live is getting a bit old now and I have the same issue every time I come into or out of the drive. She just does not move until your almost on top of her the dozy fuzz. Hope you're alright mate, don't let it chew you up. Things like this happen, they just do and you can't change it. :crying:
  24. VK56DE lump would save a few kilos as well.....:shifty:
  25. Here's an old thread I had bookmarked http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?45751-Suggestions-on-Weight-Saving&highlight=suggestions+weight+saving Weight's are in lb's btw:balloon:
