I prefer the look of the skyline over the supra, skyline looks more 'purposeful' if that makes sense.

iirc there is a pic of my dtm in one of my first posts on here.its a small world!.One thing that finished it for me with Calibras is me and the missus went to the billing meet last august and hardly anyone spoke to us, the whole thing seemed really clicky and most there had only been in the club 5 minutes!, at one point the missus felt really uncomfortble so I said sod it and we left.

I used to work at Perkins Engines in Shrewbury, build 12ltr straight six diesels for ERF and Foden etc and used to build one and a bit engines a day so built a fair few in nearly 10 years I was there.Have rebuilt loads of bike engines as well, including v-4 500cc two stroke RD500lc engines.

I love Calibras, my last one was a V6 DTM Edition (one of only 12 on the road) and before that I had a SE3 2.0 8v.I was on clubcalibra.com for about 7 years before I turned japanese and came on here.Only sold the DTM in September last year, and only because I wanted rwd!.

Got in the car this morning and the seat was bloody freezing!, miss my Calibras heated seats......so have any of you guys that have had your leather seats re-trimmed had heat pafs fitted? :)

My DTM Edition Calibra ended up with a X30XE Omega engine, F20 close-ratio box with a wide-ratio 5th gear (out of a F18 Vectra box) for cruising.It was kicking out 199.6bhp and 216lb/ft of torque.Not bad for a 150k ex-police engine!.The 2.6 is a waste of time in my opinion, the one to go for is the later 3.2 but you can get issues with the MAF sensor and coilpacks.

its going to be a busy few months, as ive picked up my manual conversion (cheers Alex/Hollowpoint :) ), and thats going in the week after next with my Hicas eliminator( with n/a powersteering pump and pot, all pipes removed) all being well.Then its coilovers and suspension arms and possibly dump valves, lose the aircon,egr valve etc, powdercoat the plenum, get bits chromed,lose the rear spoiler, wiper and aerial get the holes welded and then finish off with a respray (and to think i told the missus i wouldnt spend as much on this car as i did on my last one!!!).Will stick up posts and pics as it all comes together :)

I find Meguiars products to be very good, used their claybar kit on my last car (white V6 Calibra DTM Edition) and the paintwork felt like glass afterwards, was very impressed.On the Zed i use their shampoo, then polish followed by a wax.Also use the shampoo on my wheels and they clean up perfectly.

Yeah its a Pilkington.........but I like Pilkington, even if he has got a head like a f@#king orange!,lol :)

Someone needs their tools taking off them!........are they talking about the same R8 as everyone else!!??.that car and an R8 should never be mentioned in the same sentence.

Autowindscreens came and fitted my new screen today and did a superb job......and its got the correct bronze tint (with green top tint) as the original so well chuffed.Cant get over how nice it is to see through the new one, as I didnt realise just how scratched the old screen was! :)
