If your fitting a L/W pulley now would be the time to do it, also hanging your cambelt and doing the 60k service.

In perfect conditions I drive it quite hard but in the wet and at night I drive like a OAP on Valium.

I only put that because when I bought my diif oil I need 3 bottles at a litre per bottle as they where not willing to split a bottle to give me the correct amount. LMAO

Make sure the datascan lead is plugged in to your usb port before checking and it will come up with something bridge IIRC

There should be if you have XP its a tap in the top.

Assuming you're running Windows XP, have a look at control panel -> system -> hardware tab -> device manager -> ports> There it should be mentioned which com port is linked to your USB port. Here is Dannys advice.

Have you followed Danny's advice from DTA on one of the posts to check which port it's using?? As this happened to me as well only port 3 was coming up ok but nothing and I plugged the cable on it's own into the laptop and wizard installed it then I used Dannys advice to check which port and it came up as number 7. HTH
