Golfs are actually really good reliable cars I've had a few vr6, they don't rust a great deal, the only common problem are c.v joints, Can't really go wrong with one

no sorry must of writen it wrong what you would be best with is two 3in divorced system, i was just saying supras ect run a 3in system. youd be best with 3in down pipes and 3inch divorced system (one each side), things like an extra 0.5inch in intercooler piping and exhaust size does make alot of differance specially to throttle responce and also aids spool up especially on bigger turbos

well no not really as youve got 2.5 inch down pipe on each turbo so thats still restricting that turbo if you run divorced pipes its exact same as running a single exit on a single turbo as each exhaust is the outlet for that turbo its connected to, if you get what i mean lol

ive to always ran short and as straight as possible piping it just less for the air to travel so in term forces more air in as its not taking as long to travel up the long piping, also alot of people seem to think that 2.5in exhaust is best to run which it isnt your much better of with 3in exhaust straight through and again as straight as possible, people say 2.5 is better as you need the back pressure which simply isnt true, the turbo will create the backpressure you need, and yes ive looked into this so no its true, all the skyline,evo,supras all run 3in exhausts at least aswell as larger diameter intercooler piping, i think when it comes to intercoolers alot is down to prefferance but again all the biggest powered cars all use front mounts, hks,greddy ect all make fmi for high powered cars

It is a great feeling even when I had mine on the back of a transporter people were pulling along side taking pics, even a old couple women about 60 odd pulled out her big camera and gave it a few snaps then gave a smile So can't wait till its actually done and on the road

I agree maintaining is quite often overlooked, or not done often enough as is using cheap parts, I'm enjoying the useful info, mapping is one area I know very little about, I've used one of Noz chips on my s13 and it was cracking ran great

I've read all this thread and am I missing something? All Noz has done is post up what his mods are what he's achieved through his mapping and also backed it up with proof which not many people can do, Then all of a sudden some non believers post up critisising him for no reason what so ever, and it's not the first time, Some people just can't accept that he's achieved good power at 21psi on standard turbos, maybe because there unable to achieve the same, Everyone tunes,build drives there cars differently what he's posted his very informative people should be congratulating him on his efforts not slating him Alot of people just go on what they've read on the net most are just horror stories or people no knowing what there on about I say good on you mate great to see what CAN be done

Ok so fitted a new switch it kicked up once but now keeps tripping the electrics?

Yea 2-3 days I'd say others might do it quicker but I like to take my time when assembling and refitting the engine so it's all done right and don't make any slip ups

I think if its in the state you say bottom end and heads built just a case of refitting I think I'd beable to build the engine up and remove the engine that's in the car in a weekend that's with many tea and bacon cob breaks lol and probably working into late evening both days then probably another half s day to fit the new engine and get it running

how much you wanting for clutch, whats condtion like? any pics? also yep got the adaptors i guess its straight forward moving the sender?

turbos are z1 kit with adjustable actuators, what you mean by boost inlet and outlet adaptors? also what 6puk and flywheel you got and whats the torque rating on it?

So im writing a list of bits i need/got to complete my rebuild heres the list can anyone think of any other bits i may need, list may change as i go along, this is just for the rebuild already got loads of other parts like ebc,alloy rad,ect ect Full gasket set NA Oil Squirters Full Bearing Set Eagle Rods (got) Wiseco Pistons(got) Cosmetic Head Gaskets ARP Head & Main Sud Kit Garrett gt2560 Turbos(got) Braided Turbo Oil Feeds & Restrictors (got) Z1 bb Oil Drain Kit 6 Puk Clutch & Lightened Flywheel New Crank Sproket Full cambelt kit (got) Oil Pump Jecs 550 Injectors & Adaptor Kit (got) Pcv Valves & Hoses Z1 Viton Valve Stem Seals if you can think of any other little bits i may need along the way add them to the list
