**alert - Please Read!!**
Oh yeah... diesels also run by compression ignition. Meaning the 22:1 comp. ratio heats the air/fuel mix to its flash point. I guess this is a small step away from pre ignition and detonation. So I reckon we throw away our skanky weak ass Zed pistons and fit diesel truck pistons instead. No fear of dett wrecking engines then on. :smw: :mac1: :duffer: :duffer:

 are you kidding me? 22:1 compression ratios give a healthy amount of engine braking ;) :mac1: The rest of it is correct tho ;) so i will let you off with that :p

NZR DIY bodywork painting
I guess if you mix the paint thin enough you can get a nice finish, just be careful of runs, dont put it on too thick. The steel chassis maybe could be painted with shultz? (sp?) or stonechip stuff to keep the rust away. If the finish is not all that good wet flat it with some 2000 wet&dry, go and buy some G6 and a rotary mop ;) HTH? Rob.

Is there anything you would go for.
The dogleg first gear was developed for the track, you only usually need first gear for starting off and the occasional tight (sub 30mph) hairpin. So it was demed better to put that gear to the 'side' and have 2nd and 3rd in a srtaight line so you could change gear faster.

Hello!!!
I believe you can pull the plug off the hicas solenoids under the bonnet for a quick test to see what it'll be like. I guess with the lock out bar it will be a little more solid though, as with the plugs pulled out it still may have a little 'give' in the fluid, lines etc etc...

Advice on paddle clutch slipping
good point........ some flywheels have a step in them. when you skim the friction face you have to skim the stepped face back to original dimension to keep the clamping force the same.

Rattling From Engine
Usually an oil light comes on when there is little or no oil pressure. If this is the case it might have done damage already to the big ends... I had the same prob in my S13... seemed to clank harder at 3k upwards, but got away with polishing crank and fitting new shells thanks to the tufftrided/nitrided crank
