  1. There seems to be a bit of a myth concerning this. On a multi-cylinder engine the volume of the crankcase is always the same, no matter if 1 of the pistons is going down because another would be going up ;) ;) Now if we were talking about single cylinder engines, that really is a whole different ball game. :headvswal HTH Rob
  2. Cool! Now get some in car footage as i'm itching to see that pocket rocket geven some stick :D Rob.
  3. That's exactly what I thought when I chose my Wilwood 335mm fronts. I took a stroll over to the GTR owners forum and had a look at what they upgraded to. Turns out it is 335mm for their stock wheels. So hey presto, after a bit of searching I found some on E-Bay and bought them. A few engineering mods later and they are fitted to my Z. Sorry for absolutely rubbish pics, I dont have my Fuji with me.
  4. I weighed my UK TT LWB Targa Manual a couple of weeks ago, It had approx 45 litres of Vpower onboard and a couple of air tools/various tools. Weight was 1490kg take off 15kg for tools?..... They aren't as heavy as I first thought :D
  5. You are not wrong ;) But IIRC it was considered in the prototype stage.... thankfully they made them all RWD tho :)
  6. Just to add.......... Labour was free because I did it myself :)
  7. Going from memory (been a couple of years now...) I got 3 or 4 bearings from Nissan and the total was around £100 HTH Regards, Rob
  8. Might be layshaft bearings. I had to do this on mine. Exactly the same symptoms as yours, and a pig of a job to get the box apart fully ;) As greg said, it WILL last for ages like that, so just turn the stereo up or knock some holes in your exhaust baffles   :wack:
  9. No way? Surely this has to be an urban legend not true? :p Or is it really true?
  10. Just to add, when I took my stock calipers off to fit my large brakes, I was shocked to find (on one of my calipers, I've not checked the other yet) 1 piston siezed quite well, 2 pistons a bit iffy and 1 that worked fine. As said before take them all out, clean up well and they will be as good as new with more seals in etc etc.
  11. One of my mates had a concrete prefab sectional garage built, all he had to do was lay a concrete slab and the garage guys did the rest. I was there, they turned up on the morning and less than a day later he had a nice large double garage on his property. I can speak to him if you require, I think they will make a garage any size you want.
  12. Damn Mark!! I'm glad you're ok. Cars can be repaired/replaced, but there's only one Markzx ;) :D
  13. Just to add.... both pc's running 19"tft @ 1280x1024 res

  15. Lisa, sorry to hear your car got wrecked :( main thing is it's a bit of tin that can be bashed back into shape quite easily ;) As for claiming, do it and dont think twice about it. I'll give you my oersonal experiance as refrence. 2 yrs ago (approx) I was travelling around an island, ready to exit and the car to my right decided to smash straight into the side of me, there was no reason for this just plain lack of observations on her part. She immediately started all the gesticulation buisness and we pulled over. I got a mouthfull of verbal from her "what the hell do you think you're doing" etc etc and "i've been traveling this way for 15 yrs"etc etc we exchanged details and left it at that. She did let something slip though, that at the time I didnt think was important "I've only just got the car back from the last crash" was what she said to me. next thing i know is she's claiming for whiplash and everything, seen 2 'doctors' who backed up her claim so i'm screwed. I was being totally honest in the situation, myself, my 18yo son was not injured in the crash, as was her 7yo in her passenger seat ;) she was the only injured party. (fooking liar) So her claim for injuries and lost time from work etc etc was £4.5k, my claim in response was £0 because i was not injured and I lost a small amount of time from work, but not worth the hassle of claiming it back. In the end after 18 months it went 50/50, we both lost a years NCB and she recieved 50% of her £4.5k claim. Not bad for somebody who seems to do it on a regular basis huh? My advice? Claim. No second thoughts. PPL out there WILL stitch you up, dont be honest and loose out like I did. HTH Robert.
  16. The only thing I found to help me was to cut the wires, feed a ring spanner over the sensor and give that a heave-ho. Soldering the wires afterwards isnt a possibility, the solder didn't want to stick. Use a connector block and seal it with silicon to stop corrosion. Job done. HTH
  17. Just another thought...... I think he used to keep in contact with JayPSC (rip), but also he used to hang around with Andrew Ingram as well, i think they lived close to each other in sutton. HTH
