j1mmytt!!! Dude that car is a total mess! As zx-eyes says, I too have seen plenty of salvage in my time, but that don't even need to go to the crusher lol, you did all the hard work for them :D

OK, stupid thing No.1. Upon passing my test and getting back in the car with my driving instructor for the drive home, he told me that most young men crash within the first 12 months. "That won't be me!" I thought (being cockey). Well I lasted 11 months before I crashed my Peugeot at around 110mph on a dual carriageway, put it on it's roof and dented EVERY panel except the boot lid :D Stupid moment No.2 Bought a 200sx S13 back in 1998 IIRC as a non runner. It had sparks but no fuel. I figured this out by tipping petrol down a spark plug hole and cranking the engine over. It fired up on the 1 cylinder that had the plug in....... Now on a 2hundy, the coil packs are held in with a brace, screwed in with M6 bolts...... Ahem, while running (& sounding like a dumper truck :D) it sucked in a bolt :shock: and stopped DEAD! I turned the key again... CLICKKKK CLICKKKK WTF? I thought.... Then it dawned on me! I got a torch down the plug holes and sure enough 1 had sucked in a bolt and was trying to compress it LOL!!! So how do I get out of this mess then? Well, a brainwave came to me. Jack up a rear wheel, engage 5th gear and turn wheel backwards to pull piston off the bolt. Then get a magnet to pull said bolt up. Worked a treat! Must be strong pistons in those S13 motors because the bolt was proper mashed LOL Never gave a minutes trouble after that either! ATB Rob :)

Not revving past 3250rpm is MAF plug. Check it is seated correctly, clean it if needed.

I'll agree with that one! What was annoying as well was the F1 car only lasted 2 laps around the Nurburgring, that means you couldn't do a flying lap because both laps would be spoilt by a pitstop :xxx: Anyway, GT5 will be a good excuse to buy a PS3 :p

Quite a few of us do have bikes on here ;) My father donated his CBR600 to me, I just need to get off my ass and pass my test :rolleyes: Back to gearbox, are you sure it will work without the clutch? I've driven cars before when the clutch is gone and you have to be very accurate with the revs for the gear to engage (as you well know I guess). Unless you're going to actuate clutch hydraulicaly some how?

How long ago are we talking for this ZXR400/600? Years ago? I remember a feature many moons ago being done in Performing Berks ;) :) :D Would you have to change the internals of the synchromesh back to a dog arrangement for this to work without the clutch? Regards, Rob.
