  1. See if you can get a step gap rear piston ring as well. I usually use melett btw and order the half kit. But pmsl @ buying 4 :D
  2. Dude sorry to hear that FFS. But a bodyshop will be able to repair that no probs. Weld up the split metal (if there is any) and a light skim of filler over the top.
  3. Just phone them up. I've ordered quite a few times now. They advise against it so they cover their own arses basically. If they ask you over the phone about balancing, just tell them you will take it somewhere afterwards (weather you do or not). Rob.
  4. Yes, the heater only comes on when the water temperature reaches 45c I think... As I only have the stock gauge not an aftermarket item. So when my heater comes on I know the car is not fully warm, but it's getting there (if that makes sense lol). Rob.
  5. Well to be fair, my black one don't take long to warm up at all really, 2 miles absolute max before the heater comes on. (I think that is 45c ish?)
  6. Hey look! The RWS still works :D  :smash: :wack:
  7. You can get a rotary wire brush that will mount in a drill. I used this to do the sill on my red one. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-ROTARY-WIRE-BRUSH-RUST-REMOVAL-POLISHING-135_W0QQitemZ140207525664QQihZ004QQcategoryZ30900QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Something like that is perfect.
  8. Long time no see Lee! I bet you've forgot who I am LOL As Pete said, make 2 equal length lines and tee them together at the rear of the engine, then run the other pipe from the tee to the solenoid, then the other side of the solenoid to a redundant point from the original wastgate pipes. When JD fitted my E-01 he used the one on the passenger side, and blocked the drivers side up. ATB Rob.
  9. Now that is a TOP IDEA!!! :duffer:  Were you watching Terminator the night before by any chance? LMAO
  10. Damn that is quick for a stock roadcar! Just found this, its the best lap around the Nurburgring Nordshleife. Car looks like it's got a lot of guts ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TMXr2ReNhk&feature=related

  16. PMSL...... there is a moral to this story I think ;)
  17. Doh! Looks like they went through that order with a fine tooth comb :(
  18. PMSL I was waiting for that ;) Brummmmmmm Brummmmmmm  But funny you should say it was slippy last night, I took the black Z out to a mates house, haha had no traction in 1st, 2nd or 3rd  Mind you, on a 4 mile journey to him I saw 2 seperate roads closed due to accidents!!
  19. 800+hp at the wheels gets you acceleration like that :D Good init? :)
  20. 8,000 rpm on stock everything (manual transmission, diff, wheels & tyres) is 212mph according to my calculator :D And I have to agree with you, it wouldn't take long to get there at all
  21. Well lol... I did a trackday in my red car at the Bedford Autodrome. Noise limit was 105Db and I was over it :( They put a red sticker on my winidscreen and monitered me throughout the day. Crazy thing was the exhaust was not all that noisy!!! The Kakimoto on the black car is FAR more noisy! So beware :)
  22. Where I work there is a race team nearby, TCR http://www.totalcontrolracing.com/ When they have a new car in to race prep the first thing that goes is the factory hard brake lines and replaced with braided from master cylinder to wheel cylinders ;) So it can't be that bad can it :)
  23. ...................Bloody know it all................ :p
  24. I just timed his last run, 80-150 just under 6.5 secs   He was a bit untidy hitting the limiter in 3rd and gearchange could have been a little faster so with a perfect run you could get that to under 6 secs. Oh, and if all you ppl with manual gearboxes are thinking 'how's he getting such speeds?' his rev limiter is set at 8,000rpm now ;) 3rd gear stock is 110mph..............8,000rpm limiter is 122mph 4th gear stock is 143mph..............8,000rpm limiter is 159mph Amazing machine!
