  1. I'm not sure I'd swap the interiors over...... the UK Z will have seatbelts on the B pillars, the Series 1 JDM car will have seatbelts on the doors. It will be a dead giveaway that something is not quite right with the UK Z if you swap it over IMO. :) :duffer:
  2. Well Bernie has let the cat out of the bag on how Ferrari gets extra money and 'general help’!! http://www.itv-f1.com/news_article.aspx?id=44817 WTF? This is not even funny. :slap:
  3. What date was it again? Ahh I might be in Timbuktu on that day fella! :wack: Only joking. I'll give a hand if I can ;)
  4. To quote one of Manta V8's posts......... You can't even hope to have a full respray unless you pull the engine :( The doors and tailgate will need to be taken off as well so you can paint all the inside shut panels. Door locks need to be taken off (maybe the lock barrels filled and flushed over too ;))
  5. Happy Birthday Kim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. The chassis leg is the large rectangular box section that runs either side of the engine. I don't know why you guys are so afraid of repairing cars? Crashed cars have been repaired ever since cars were made. It's only a bit of metal that needs bashing back into shape :wack: The difference comes if you have a good repair or a bad repair. If you have a good repair it will be back to manufacturers standard or better!
  7. Good pics!!!!!!!!!! It was nice to put faces to usernames today! :D :duffer:
  8. To add: If the chassis leg has been pushed back into the bulkhead at all I'd say don't mess with it.
  9. To be honest, ANYTHING can be repaired, it's just is it economically viable to do so. If you gave that car to a main dealer to fix, their labour rates of £60++ per hour would just blow the costs out of proportion. If you could find an independant garage the costs will be much lower. If you can find a mate to do it even better!!! Looks like it will need a bit of jigging to get the front slam panel back into position first tho. I would think it's easier to repair that bit than to re-shell an entire Z though............
  10. And that's the point ;) It's even on stock brakes and wheels FFS! 700hp/1020kg is going to be a rocket as soon as he can get the power down.

So where we going then? :D
  12. Good man! That explains it perfectly then! :duffer:
  13. Isn't that strange? My 'old' series 5 '98 SWB had the same type spoiler. Maybe it was an option to have the original type? I have a video of mine in 1999 when it came to the UK and it had the spoiler on then so if it was changed in Japan, it was changed in the forst 12 months of ownership:smash: Wierd!
  14. I think there's 2 possible answers to this. petes21st is getting to one scenario asking if there's any noises. If the clutch booster system is leaking you'll hear a wheezing type noise when you press the pedal. The other one is when a clutch wears out it becomes very hard right at the end of it's life, the next stage is clutch slip. This may be a possiblity because nobody has changed the clutch yet? Even though 60,000 miles (if genuine) is a bit shy of clutch replacement time. IIRC I changed the clutch in my red one @ 85~90,000 miles.
  15. That sounds like a goddamn fire engine! I could only put up with that if the exhaust was mega loud :wack:
  16. That looks VERY similair to a 350z Stillen supercharger.........
  17. ROFL TubZ.......... But, what do you know? My fine has arrived already this morning :D
  18. A message from Diane/Emero: "Thank you for all your kind gifts, I've been working flat out and don't have internet access at home yet" Di needs a little bit of help with her car. She's asked me to post because of lack of time and internet access. Is there anyone local to Warwickshire who can help her fix her clutch? The pedal is going to the floor, chances are the master cylinder seals are gone. She will order a new seal kit tomorrow from MJP ready to fit. Now the catch, can anyone do this before December 26th? She has to go to Gatwick to pick up her daughter who flies in from India. Any suggesgions? Regards, Rob.
  19. Romford Raiders? Dude that sounds like an alternative to 'The Blue Oyster Bar' :D :D :slap: :x::smw::mac1::duffer:
  20. Well I taxed it earler online. They stated there was a break in the tax (I would have been happy to pay from September) and have started the new disc from December 1st. So basically I will expect a fine to drop through the door sometime soon. Knowing my luck it will probably beat the tax disc in the post hahaha!:headvswal
  21. Good project! Fair play dude! :duffer:
  22. Where have you taken the feed from for the turbo? You need to make sure it's a good supply, maybe even restricting the flow to the heater matrix to keep the pressure up? Just a thought..........
  23. Well there's no reason why not, but it's a lot more akward to hold it.
  24. Fack me that's cheap!!!!!!!!!!!! What would you do about the fuel side though? Injectors/engine management etc etc?
  25. Plus you can attach straps to the plenum to lift the engine up.
