Well I do my best but the baggage allowance was quite small and having given the situation a great deal of thought I gave a lot of priority to alcohol..... so don't expect the sunshine I squeezed in to last too long.... but when it goes cloudy expect I will be having several toasts to all of you lol :tt2:

Well one of them was kinda black all over lol But yeah it seems the black roof bars are getting a bit popular @mark - don't see any reason why we couldn't make a staffodshire/stoke meet once a month seeing as there are enough of us in this area.... then for example we could also persuade the cheshire bunch and the derbyshire lot to do the same.... and go gate crash thier meet lol Seriously though there seems a lot of calls to get our cars out there and visible, and make this a real life club, so why not? I think this is what z32bolt was trying to say on another thread, about our cars all being garaged most of the time they may as well not exist, we all need to get 'out there' a bit. Certainly the three Zeds looked great together, and as tehy say 'three zeds are better than one'.... even in the rain! :tt2: Rich

I met with mark300zx and dzx today to pay the monies for the Trentham show The weather was god awful (thought the forecast was for improving weather lol) but anyway here are a few quick pics of three cars that will be attending As an aside, thanks to all those members who have already paid via paypal for the Trentham show Rich

Well if it is 70/30 and we assume roughly the same split of Taxed/Sorn for jap zeds then there are 1370 taxed japs + 587 taxed UK = 1956 taxed Zeds in total, and around the same number of SORN.... 1342 + 575 = 1916 So rounding up and down we have; ~2000 Zeds on the road in the UK ~1900 SORN Total around 4000 cars, give or take..... Hey that sounds likely to be not far from the truth don't you think?

In an attempt to figure out the size of the UK 300ZX market I got this data This shows 300ZX registered in the UK since 1994 However this would only include cars that are registered on the V5 as one of the following Nissan 300ZX 2+2 Nissan 300ZX 2+2 Auto Nissan 300ZX 2+2 Turbo Auto Nissan 300ZX 2+2 Turbo Nissan 300ZX Turbo Auto Nissan 300ZX Turbo Which is probably most of the UK market cars I've had two jap imports both on the V5 with no model name so it would seem likely that a lot of Jap imports are not included in the figures There are were 587 licensed and 575 SORN 300ZX at Q3 of 2012. Interesting on the graph you can also see the cars which are only being taxed for the summer months :wink: To get a more accurate figure you would need to work out the ratio of Jap to UK cars on the road I did chat about this with Jeff last time i was down at Z World, asked him if the ratio was someting like 2 : 1 Jap to UK cars, but he said from what he sees coming through the workshop the ratio was wider than that I suppose a quick survey on here would give some indication? Then multiply the number of recorded cars by the ratio of UK/Jap and we would have a good idea Maybe start a thread with a poll (or has that been done before?) If we do have a poll may as well add a few other questions like SORN, Auto/Manual, Turbo/NA, SWB/LWB, etc To start Mine is a Jap TT 2+2 Manual

OK the club stand is now booked Final Numbers to be confirmed with the organisers in May, three weeks before show 13 cars so far - and there is plenty of space available for more of you to add yourselves to the list Here a couple of videos and pics from previous events, so you can get some idea of the size and diversity of this show Let's get a good turnout and go and put 300zx.co.uk firmly back on the map in Stoke! :thumbup:

@mark300zx what is it with members on this forum, most of them seem unable to be PMed!! lol If you want to meet up over the weekend for a pint, and pay your Trentham money I was going to sugget The Pepper Mill, which is the new pub on the retail park behind Pizza Hut in Longton I am free most of Saturday afternoon/evening and Sunday afternoon whichever suits you best I've also PMed PaulR about meeting us both Rich

I'm not sure how the Fitzherbert arms got into this - oh it was a members suggestion to meet there on the morning of the show then drive in convoy... If i remember corrcetly the Fitzherbert is Hanchurch area somewhere.... anyway this is just a members suggestion, not confirmed yet.
