Nice one, that will be the only 350Z we have so far We have both SWB and LWB 300ZX's, 240's and a 280 The only Z models we don't have now are the Z31 and the 370Z. It would be nice if we could find one each of those to come along :wink:

@Mark/Blackpool - you two are already on the confirmed list :) Blackpool, which car are you bringing? I was intending to distribute the tickets on the day of tte show (I have a little rendezvous lines up for us a few miles from Trentham so we can have breakfast and arrive in convoy) but I can post out the tickets out to anyone who wold prefer that no probs Rich

Just to keep this updated we now have a couple of 240z attending courtesy of the Zclub site Assuming Blakpool z32 brings his 350 than what we are missing now are a 260Z, 280Z, 300ZX (Z31) and a 370Z and then we would have a 'full house' The vast majority of cars are looking to be 300ZX Z32(mix of LWB, SWB, modded and stock) Anyone else fancy a good day out and could help with any of those missing Zeds? You're welcome Thailand has two seasons - Dry (Nov to March) and wet (Apr to Oct) Wet doesn't mean it's grey and p!sses down all day like it does here, it means they have sudden heavy downpours then the sun comes out and it all turns to steam and evaporates The temperatrure never varies very much from 34 - 38c all year Well at least in Phuket It tends to be more expensive for everything in high season (eating out, drinks and even soapies - so I am told) We went start of March and it was very lively. It was dry sunny and hot every day for 16 days (apart from a 30 min downpour one evening) Rich

Would put that on the list if we are ever in that part of the world again re the soapy - I hope no-one was actually offended but believe me that is all exactly true how it happened (and it seems as popular a pastime as fishing, food or tuk tuks over there) Given the opportunity yeah I would certainly do it again, , but I am not publishing any more of my blogs on here so I'll leave it to your imaginatiion! lol Thailand to me is the best place in the world (at least that we ever visited)..... the food, the people, the scenery and the atmosphere (and yeah the party scene) are second to none. Funnily enough I found Patong Beach, Phuket to be cheap and lively (and most certainly not sleazy!) What happens at Christins Soapy Massage..... ahh OK here goes.... I kept an extensive blog of a lot of those experiences from about 6 years ago on another site... so it's easiest for me to copy/paste from there And No nothing seedy (andy)..... but something very erotic :biggrin: Prolog OK this is the 4th part of my blog reproduced in full and follows on from when we had been in Phuket for about 10 days (in 2007) and had met with a welsh couple at the same hotel. We went out for a meal together the night before and he asks if I've tried a massage while there. I say I haven't, he says 'you really must, I go almost every day' and the missus says 'go for it' So the next afternoon..... The Blog OK so there I am one hot afternoon in Thailand, walking to Christins massage with my new found Welsh friend. He's saying to me 'now we are away from the women I'll tell you what to expect' 'When we get to Christins we'll go upstairs to the bar and have a beer, There will be three big windows at the end of the bar and there may be 50 or 60 girls behind each window'. 'The window in the middle is the "expensive" window, the one on the right is the "mid-price" and the one on the left is the cheap "window".' 'hmmmm what's the difference?' 'Well the expensive window is supposed to be the most attractive girls. The cheap ones will probably be very new and not very experienced masseurs. I normally go for the mid price he says. They will cost you about £18 for an hour and a half...'. Also for a word of advice, pick a small girl as the larger ones tend to be a bit heavy when they are walking up and down your back! So we hand over the dosh (I'm feeling a bit done here, thinking hmmm he got 2 for 24 quid and mine cost me £18 for one) Anyway out comes number 6 and immediately wraps her self around me in a rather over familiar manner and says 'Shall we go to the lift?' which kind of took my mind off the issue. So mr Wales and his two girls get out a couple floors below saying 'I'll see you later for another beer', and I carry on up with number 6 wondering just what exactly a soapy massage consists of. Christins massage is arranged like a rather large hotel. With the communal bar and 'girls windows' then lots of individual air conditioned rooms. Miss 6 takes me to her room and invites me in. I'm figuring now 'ahh I see these girls must live here and work here' as the room has a few personal effects, a table, a few chairs, bed, and I can see across the room to a bathroom area, with a bucket on the floor and an inflatable lilo! While I'm looking around I realise that no 6 is already undressing me, which I let her do - and then starts to undress herself! Wow I thought this looks like it could be fun. Once we were naked and she was being a bit kissy kissy and touchy feely she led me over to the lilo and said in her cute Thai-English accent 'lie down on your tummy' Next I hear the taps run and a sound like someone is filling a bucket. When we get back to the hotel mr Wales says 'dont tell the wives what happened' Course not I say... I go up to the room and catch the wife having an afternoon nap. Get yourself down to Patong Beach, Phuket.... it's well chilled and relaxed but make sure you go to the Bangla Road area for the bars and girls and also don't miss 'Christins Soapy Massage' (top of Bangla Road, Turn Right and it's on your right after a few yards) for an amazing 1 1/2 hr (90 min) exerience (for about £20) More info on what happens at a 'soapy' just ask me lol Or for that matter splash out and enjoy four 'amazing experiences' simultaneously for about 60 quid if you haggle a discount lol If 'No 6' is still there she is very very good lol And don't worry about the ladyboys they are a good laugh and won't hassle you. Thanks Jimmer Re the internals I am a bit in the hands of Jeff at Zedworld as I have entrusted him to do the that part of the job, having been very happy with all the work he has previously done for me. I do have a quoted price, though it does not include all the work you suggest TBH I am a bit in the hands of the experts here I did discuss with Jeff about upgrading the turbo internals which was not included in the price and TBH would take care of a great deal of the extra cash I have. if I choose to do so. It makes some sense to me what you say though, spending the budget on engine internals while it is stripped down Jeff, Noz, others... advice?? I would really like to spend this money wisely. Rich

OK I left this a bit open ended but hmmm...... I was thinking of keeping things a bit more stock than that to be honest Not to say I won't do more later but right now I don't have a vast amount of money to throw at this I got the price to refurb the engine and swap them over from Jeff, and I am OK with that I already got the decat exhaust and HKS boost control and some sort of chipped ECU. So OK - maybe better SMICs or FMIC and upgrade the turbos is possibly on the cards plus some pipework etc Now let's say I have another £1000 on top of the engine refresh/swap.... so to do something with the turbos, intakes, intercoolers etc may be in order If it really comes down to priorities then I would prefer to do now what is best done while the engine is out, then do the other stuff afterwards when I have more money to spare Given that sort of budget and that proviso does it narrow the options down a bit? It looks like I have a timescale now ... prob travelling to Spain Madrid airport 13th May, doing a 'bit of a tour' via Madrid, Seville, Ronda, Gibraltar, Torremolinos, Almeria and Benidorm, then back from Alicante airport 5th June So I really need to sort what I am gonna be doing before then and get things in motion Car booked in with Jeff@Zedworld around 9th/10th May for engine refurb and swap so it will be ready for the Trentham show mid June Rich

Hi Andy I'm assuming you mean these mods m8? Full Alunox exhaust system inc turbo elbows GReddy Profec BII Electronic Boost Controller DTA55 chipped ECU - Boy does it work well!! Blitz BOV's on Hard Pipes K&N Induction Kit TBH getting the engine stripped and bearings changed was more to do with reliability and let's face it this is the best time to do it while the engine is out, rather than a performance upgrade sorta thing. Got a price for that work and it is a bit of a no-brainer to me. I note what smithy says too about pistons, I was intending to run stock (or rather leave them alone if they are OK), but at an extra £300ish if Smithy is right then hmmmmm sounds a it tempting to me The mods on your car are kinda what I was wondering about I already have HKS Boost Controller, no Idea how that compares to your Greddy though Already have chipped ECU but honestly don't know what chip as it was done before I got the car - Jeff at ZWorld said it 'pulls very well' when he test drove her, whatever it is I got some rather loud BOVs they are mounted either side of the intake under the nose panel - no idea what they are though - will see if I can get some pics Not sure the intake/air filter is stock TBH. Turbos and SMICs are stock AFAIK Thanks for the advice though, seems what I would like to achieve for what I want to pay is realistiic Also I echo Harbys question about stock engine parts melting. cheers Rich

@Smithy This is just the sort of advice I am looking for, so I make the best choices.... keep it coming guys Bearings were already on the 'to do' list When I say 'keep the engine stock' I mean I don't have the money to spend like on Mark Derby's rebuild, nor am I trying to achieve that sort of power, but I am very much open to consideration of options right now Guess I've said enough about what I want to achieve so you guys can see what my expectations are :wink: cheers

OK I have decided the knock on my old engine is getting a bit worse now so I've decided to get the good spare one I have fitted instead. I was gonna leave it till end of hte summer but I just don't trust the old one enough I've booked the car in to have the engines swapped early/mid May as I will be away sunning myself for about 3 weeks and want it back for the Summer shows, so it seems he ideal opportunity. I've had a real good think about what I want to achieve (as well as stopping the car knocking lol) and come to the decision I would like to get the best performance I can out of the replacement engine, whilst stilll keeping stock internals. If I want to do more in the future I'll still have my old engine to play with My intentions are: 1* Get the engine stripped down, replace bearings and 'freshen it up'. Keep stock internal spec. 2* Either get the turbos refurbished, upgrade them while keeping the old housings, or fit larger ones 3* Maybe do something to upgrade the intake pipework and intercoolers 4* Not sure about injectors, probably keep the stock ones but get them cleaned up 5* Ask Noz to work his remap magic :thumbup1: I already have HKS boost controller, some sort of upgraded 'chip', aftermarket dump valves and aftermarket decat exhaust If i could get 400bhp out of the car I would be over the moon with the results, this is an occasional use road car / show car but I may be tempted to take it on a track day So that's what I would like to achive - advice (and approx costs on steps 2 3 and 4) gratefuily accepted Noz - I'll PM you about 5. cheers Rich
