  1. I use 36mm impact socket and impact gun ..there on tight thats for sure ...
  2. dont thrash it for 5>10 mins or up to temp really and the same for cooling it down .. no need for stupid turbo timers .. u know where u live just drive the car sensibly for the last mile or 2 before home .. switch off ... get out .. look at your car and think ....

  4. hot air gun or a House wall paper stripper .. u need to get it Hot regardless ..once removed .. u will be left with a little sticky stuff .. use acetone or acetate remover

  7. "cough" its the new 2500" range they fit in the volvo and ford St's how they managed to fit 5 of them under the bonnet its quite amazing really dont'half sound nice tho when fully wound up :)
  8. Nothing today ... way to biz repairing Zeds and Fords to even think about working on my baby :( had to tell my customer some bad news .. that his Volvo/ford St needs a new block due to cracked liner
  9. 350 miles ... is a little low for comp testing on new pistons/rings/bores m8 i wouldnt worry to much about the reading right now .. long as there all with in the same spec as each other you be good to go .. give it another 500>1000 miles then do comp test by then the rings and bores should be smooth to seal 100%

  12. as noel says Jimmer @ Power Zed would be close to you then there are a few other registered trusted traders on here that can do your transplant for you
  13. there ... ok suppose .. but you will need the adaptor kit to make them fit in to the early inj rail ... or get a aftermarket one

  15. glad your keeping it as a Project but if i was you ... you need to be sorting out MOT Reg * Not sure how it got an MOT on it in April tbh as when it came to me by the Prev owner ... None of the electrics worked and both front brakes was seized on and then with all the other bits below that would of been an MOT fail * in my opinion & others .. my 3 bodyshop guys refused to work on it .. but was only instructed to Price jobs that needed doing but on what was found only asked to do the bits that was going to stop him from driving it .. as it had an MOT *Door A pillor been cut away due to lambo hinges *All Brake lines *Both front and rear sills *Main Seat Mounts *front and rear subfames inc arms *Exhaust blowing at 8 points ( gum gum repairs ) Rear Archs or lack of Re-mount the rear bumper and remove the Timber and wood screws Tail Gate Doors Front wings Side Skirts and Few other little bits Mark

  20. Regardless of new or not ... check pcv .. but blue smoke normally burnt oil ... ie what's going though the combustion cycle .. White/light blue is after combustion ie from turbo seal Pure white with sweet or acidy taste/smell is head gasket generally
