  2. i am trying the nut on the back dave, its just they are so tight they wont budge
  3. i cant get the bloody bolts to budge one way or the other ,socket keeps slipping off ( 10 mm) any helpers out their, that is if can be bothered, as said im really leaning towards fookiing the whole thing off, enough is very nearly enough.
  4. recently had my split rims powedercoated , they look great , tyres refitted , balanced etc etc , trouble is 2 of the foooking things are leaking like a sieve from the back side of the rim , where the nuts screw in, i cant tighten them up, in fact i cant budge them either way , and the powder coaters wont accept liability , and i cant prove they were not leaking before hand, i am so fed up im seriosly thinking of breaking the whole car , it may seem like a small point but im pisxed of with time money and effort being spent hand over fist and getting precisely no where, simply put i dont know where to go from here i dont have a great deal of brass at best , even less so currently. maybe ill set fire to the bloody thing at least then it will be useful for ten minutes keeping me warm.
  5. apologies for hi jacking the thread but i need to ask a question that has bothered me for some time, with the fitting of extra engine oil coolers and or auto box fluid coolers the result effect is that the oil temp drops, but how do you then know the oils and fluids are up to the correct working temps, is it not possible that by cooling too much you actually do more harm than good ?????
  6. hi Rich, just tried to send you a text , at least i thought it was you!! , drop me a line if you can when you pick it up, thanks Neil
  7. thanks Mark, i am fitting a Blitz Dual SBC, how did you ensure you did not over egg the pressure settings at the max PSI, did you install a pressure gauge??, and if so where was it, any piccies would be very much appreciated Mark, and i will take the car to Zedworld for a final check and setup before unleashing it , Neil
  8. as an alternative to travelling , would you be prepared to take a number of detailed pictures showing how the under bonnet connections are made, where and how etc, if the resolution is good enough i will be able to copy your install on that basis, also are your original solenoids now disconnected , did you need to blank any pipes of during the install ?????, if you would prefer you can bell me on 07929 159828. ta Neil

  11. Evening, are there any members based in the west mids who have an electronic boost controller , and would be willing to allow me to see how there unit is plumbed in in detail. ( as in the underbonnet piping arrangement) if so let me know please and we can make arrangements accordingly thanks Neil
  12. not a problem red wine , does your car have a boost controller fitted, as if it does i may like to look at a real live piping arrangement and set up etc etc, the only bit im worried / nervous about, is getting into the right pipes at the right points and joining everything together correctly thanks Neil
  13. Okay, im going to be installing and setting up a boost controller ( thankyou Nick 300 zx ) , it has 4 avaliable pre sets, question is what should the maximum setting in PSI be , taking into account i have a standard engine ( albeit chipped, HKS filter & mongose pipes ) and it is an automatic. I do not want to run the risk of killing my pride and joy for two seconds of high octane pleasure . so what do you people reccomend. thanks Neil
  14. right , ive taken my old rad out and the one supplied by hollow point has two additional stabbings on the driver side of the rad, to me they would seem to be for an additional cooler provision of some sort as they mirror the stabbings for the auto box cooler , what was connected to them please alex , can you recall ?????
  15. anyone able to assist
  16. no, mine is a jap its on a 93 plate if that makes any odds ???
  17. does anybody have pics or diagrams of zx tt automatic jap radiators and what the various stabbings are for, reason i ask is i have just received my new radiator from hollowpoint ( thankyou ) and it seems to have two small diameter additional stabbings ( steel tube) on the drivers side if that makes sense, in addition to the two i was expecting on the passenger side which is where i know the auto box cooler pipes attach, thanks Neil
  18. iain its dead easy, if stuck ill give you a lift
