I do not believe it , went out to do a bit of fettling on my beloved , started her up, opened the boot , set about hoovering , all good until a sudden loud bang , wondered what the hell had gone on, then spotted the rear screen smashed and crystalising in front of my eyes . Amused I am not , well pissed off is what I am. so the question is , can I replace the bastxxd glass myself , does anybody have a rear screen I can purchase, and can anybody give guidance or even help in person on htf to best do the swap, my car is a jap spec 93 , oh and incase anybody has a complete boot with fibreglass car mad spoiler i need a tk3 spec paint finish :censored:

  3. mark 1 austin allegro 1.1 , good it was not , shower of shit it most definitley was, until the lower ball joint snapped turning the steering wheel into a whirling blade of death and the whole heap got thrown into a farmers field, in factit was so bad i went and bought another one ,
  4. okay, does anybody have a piccy of how the bloody targa straps in the boot are supposed to be threaded together and locked into position. currently i have mahoooosive granny knots in mine holding anything in place and that cant be right

  8. you are welcome , as i mentioned i stuck the terminal back in place with the tabs, ( awkward sods to peel open) then refixed to the rear window, then covered the lot with araldite to provide additional strength, plenty of continuity now all is together and working fine .

Right then Mr Man, I have done a few hours of research , and have arranged for some samples to be sent to me from the states, they are double sided sticky tabs which are ultra electrically conductive and originally designed for use in MRI scanners, without doubt they will do the job, and being a kind soul , if i have enough left to enable you to do your fix , then ill gladly send onto you as well. text me your full details please using 07929 159828, Sayers
  11. okay one for the sparkies out there, the contact has come away from the rear window demist element , i was told to buy some conductive glue , which i did , to stick the thing back in position, trouble is, it is like water , and in a word not sticky ,i followed the instructions , made sure everything was clean etc etc however even after being held in position overnight it just did not seem to do anything and the contact just fell off again , does anyone know of a sure fire way to re attach the wire contact, im hoping that there is a conductive type double sided sticky pad or similar, i cant be the only one to have experienced this issue, ta sayers

  13. could do Z nut , just wanted to keep splicing local to the ECU, as mine is an auto do you know what coulour (s) wire i need to pick up from for the feed ?
  14. Hi, i am installing a reversing camera into my zed, i need to pick up a reverse selected feed and prefer to splice into the the loom near the ecu, , anybody have an ecu pin out guide please, thanks sayers

  16. i got rid off a wife , and bought a zed , it was thought originally to be cheaper , how wrong can one be !!
  17. be wary of getting too much help , with Voddy and Mark alone you will have that baby out and re inserted in hours , ill be good at brewing up and passing you tools as required :cool3:

  19. Do exactly as Voddy says , be discreet and have a mate in the boot , then when the fookers come , take them for a ride and a chat ,
  20. okay so in english, stock injectors, stock turbos, a boost controller, JWT or John DIxon chip , mongose exhaust , sponge air intake , standard SMIC, strong engine , well maintained , what is the MAX boost one should run, i have always been told , and respected 1 bar.
