Okay , so been thinking about installation of traction control over the last few days, Now ideally I would prefer a Racelogic system, But if i cannot locate one at a sensible price what alternatives do I have, Is it possible to use an OEM system from another Nissan and graft it into the loom , much in the same way as a Racelogic would need, Anybody clever out there with some sensible thoughts on this Thanks Sayers

Thanks Bob, I would love to !, I suspect I could not even get near the value of that car !, where would I get racelogic control from ?, although I think if I could get the right money for the Z I would most likely let it go.

okay , so what Evo do I go for ? and what is my 300 worth ?, it has a forged engine, rebuilt upgraded blowers, Selin intake, Na rear end, EBC and Turbo Timer, UK clocks, leather interior, Stage 3 clutch, single prop, 740 CC injectors, custom map, Methanol injection, single piece prop, etc etc etc,

I have a Nistune board fitted which allows the throttle to be planted on the floor at standstill and the revs will rise to x RPM , I guess its more of a tool to build boost , rather than to control wheelspin, I would try Racelogic if I can get one, ?. Or maybe sell up and go for the Evo. I really dont know what to do at present.

Just trying to figure a few things out, It seems I preferred my car when it was an auto, circa 7 months ago I had it converted to Manual, the whole shooting match, stage 3 clutch, light fly, single Prop, the works, and yes it made the car feel different, im just not feeling it now,and im finding it extremely hard to launch properley, Ill only ever use the car for general driving and dragstrip runs now and then. So, do I get shot of the manual conversion and return it to Auto, ? thing is I want a reliable box that will be comfortable with 450 BHP and 490 Lbs / ft torque. Is this achievable ? Or do I go to plan B and flog the car and buy and Evo with 4 wheel drive, I understand that Evo's are just as quick as the 300 ZX Thoughts please gents as I need to do something , but not sure what.

Is E85 otherwise known as race fuel ?

My car has a nistune board fitted and has the option for flex fuel enabled. Can someone clever please tell me exactly what this is for and what it will do for me if I buy the ethanol sensor and loom. Thanks Sayers

Im going to this if anybody is up for it .. Mid-Autumn Madness Public Track Weekend & Super Gamblers: 08/10/2016 - 09/10/2016 Shakespeare Raceway, Warwickshire. Note, If you intend to use the Strip you will need to take a helmet, ( or hire one at the track) and you must take your driving Licence, and your vehicle will be subject to scrutineering ( 5 min job at the track) before they will allow you to register for the RWYB. And facilities are a little more rudimentary when compared to Santa Pod, there not bad, just a little old.

No money is required for said items, to me its junk taking up room and gathering dust, better its used.

You can have my OEM fronts if you want ( they are just sitting gathering dust at the moment and will only go to the scrap man if you don't want them) they are good to go. You will need to pick them up from Codsall . Oh also got a HKS foam intake ( used ) and an APEXI type cone filter ( Brand new but now mounting plate) if you want them. Oh yeah also a good set of hardly used Copper Spark plugs , series 1 PTU , Standard rear shocks and some knackered ( Leaking TEIN Rear, you may be able to get them re furbed or just sling em). think thats about it , but do let me know 07929159828.

in fact , I would like to ask Slick Pete to drive my car up the strip and see what it will do at the hands of a decent driver. Pete are ye up for it. I do like shakespeare race way, to me its a bit more "real" and there are zero massive hour long queues, in fact last week toward 15:00 the queues were made up of about 4 cars.

I have Launch control which i programmed at 3.5 K and run continental sport contact tires, my turbos had spooled a bit due to the launch control , however after doing some reading I realise now that one of the big errors I made was to simply dump the clutch and mash the throttle, spin the wheels and red line it in first and second, all the advice I have now read says , launch control on, clutch just biting, wait for green light and press the throttle gently. Im sure my car should be sub 13 seconds, its heavily modified, and makes 490 Torque, has auto blowers for fairly quick spooling and twin intakes with Sellin, so with all that said the error lies with the muppet behind the wheel !

okay , ADL i went to shakespeare raceway. Ive only ever driven the drag strip 3 times so pls dont take the piss. but do give constructive guidance ! the slip times are reaction =.75323 60 ' = 2.613 330' = 6.599 660' = 9.561 mph 1 = 85.13 990' - 11.979 1320' = 14.13 mph 2 = 108.68

I think that a rate that high will make it feel as if you have no suspension at all. no way in hell I would think about that for the road,

Anyone thought about transplanting the engine , box and running gear from a zed into a kit car, for example a Dutton or Robin Hood ? anyone know what kits would be able to accept the parts ? Cheers Sayers

what are the best mods to make a z accelerate hard off the line, I had a good day at the dragstrip today, terminal speed of 108 was okay but my launch times were awful, reaction times are bad , but for me that is to be expected, is there anything i can do to make it develop power a lot earlier ?
