  1. Looking for some opinions on this - http://www.americantechnology.co.uk/engine-restorer--lubricant-1-c.asp I've already done the usual Google searching but was hoping somebody had 1st hand experience using it!
  2. I've had a look around my usual sources of guides but no joy! Is there a guide on removing/replacing the starter motor on a TT Manual Zed? I've been getting a bit of a grinding noise now and agan and I need to rule out the actual motor and hope it's not flywheel related :/ Any help would be appreciated as always :)
  3. Why do clutches/flywheels looks so  and then have to be hidden away :(
  4. Don't think there is any joins but my Sky+ box has the 2 coax connections and the one downstairs has 1 so didn't think you could swap them around?
  5. Funny you should say that the Fiesta hardly managed the 90 mark lol. New cars these days just ain't focused towards performance at all, its all economy! Glad I've got my paws on a real car before we are forced into these!!
  6. Had similar thing happen driving around town few weeks back the shroud actually split and was making a noise similar to when you were younger and put bottles/cartons in ur tyres to make a noise haha (unless that was just a thing around my area :p )
  7. I would if I wasn't working saturday into Sunday bud!
  8. Dish has been there a while but the guy said he replaced the bit on the end when he installed my HD just over a year ago. Reason I've been putting it off at the plug is because I do 24 hour shifts away from home so there is no point in it burning electricity when I'm not at home :/
  9. Nice it's about time they done a scottish version of Kidulthood/Adulthood/Harry Brown, loved those films!
  10. Just went and pickedu p the courtesy car .... 59 plate 1.2 Fester! Better than the Ka I thought she would have got lol.
  11. I do actually have a Sky related question.. I have Sky+ HD in my room the parentals have a standard box downstairs. Now if I switch mines off at the plug the box downstairs randomly drops some channels as and when it feels like it :/
  12. By-passing the PCV system (well as soon as I can get some pipe etc.), then Det. sensor by-pass and finally the O2 sensors. If all that fails it will be going the long haul to Birmingham to see if the engine is salvagable or if it would be best to get another one put in!
  13. But you pay for the service from Sky and surely if the equipment that they have provided is no longer giving you that service it's up to them to rectify it? Everytime something goes wrong with our Sky it's the same old "£60 for an engineer to be sent out", jog on.
  14. That a series 2 PTU? If so what adaptions would it need to be made fit my 89?
  15. The Pug gets picked up today but I don't think it will be anything decent as it's going to Arnold Clark :( If only it was some of the cars a few of you have had! lol. Not even as if I have the Zed on the road to keep me amused I'm in Celica until it's back :/
  16. Haha yea Lee have to make sure and not put any dents in it! I'm actually planning on taking the bonnet off my breaker and stripping it down to the bear aluminium and polishing it to have as a change whenever I fancy it :P
  17. After some serious consideration about selling up and getting something else, I came to the conclusion there was nothing apart from a Supra that I would replace the Zed with so she's in the garage over winter to try and get her running properly. The main problem I've had with her has been cold starting so there's a few things I'll be trying first and worst case scenario its a new/rebuilt engine! Apart from that she runs great and pulls like nothing else I've ever had! So here is a few pics so far - Let's just say my mother wasn't amused with the location of the bonnet in my room haha! Sorry about the quality they are off my phone :tt2: Mark.
  18. Unfortunately the girlfriend hit black ice tonight and put her 207 into the ditch causing a fair amount of damage but she was fine thankfully. Now when it goes in to get fixed there should be a courtesy car coming out what's the chances of it being something decent I can give a good thrashing? Haha. Anyone ever had a half decent courtesy car?
  19. Thanks for that boldy but I'm going down the same route as Silverbullet did with his. I'm going to link the front 2 breathers together and vent them and then vent the rear passenger breathers as well. Just no idea where to get a hold of some pipe the correct bore to re-route. Oh and also something to blank where my PCV valves will be removed from :)
  20. Looking forward to some meets this year just not 100% on when my Zed will be back on the road so I may be tagging along in the Celica :P
  21. I'm on the search for piping (preferably blue) to re-route my PCV system but I'm not sure what diameter of pipe is needed :/ Anyone have a good source for it and T-piece style connectors? Any help would be appreciated :) Mark.
  22. I have the Greddy E-01 not sure in the differences, but when mines flashes red and beeps it's overboosting past the limit I set it at. When I first got my zed it overboosted to 22.8 PSI and popped off a fuel pipe so be careful :/
  23. Nah Vijay have a look for another thread started by me named "pcv bypass" I'm in the process of it but find the Zed's idea of PCV complicated and confusing haha!
  24. Thanks a lot for that guys still a bit confused on going about this pcv reroute/bypass think I'm gonna start to pull the plenum to make things a lot easier :)
  25. Is there such a thing as this around somewhere? I could be doing with a look at the setup before I do some things and make matters worse!
