Put new plugs in it and ran a diagnostic and still no joy. I'm hoping it's not gonna be low compression as I only bought the car 2 days ago! When i took the plugs out all of them were sooted up and fouled pretty bad. When you try to start the engine initially, it nearly starts then drowns itself in fuel :/ What controls the amount of fuel it gets from a cold start?

Only got the Zed on Saturday and already its playing up! When I'm starting it from cold it takes up to 20 mins to get it to eventually start. It's coughs and rocks about As if its trying to fire and its smells really strongly of fuel whilst trying 2 start. Does the 300 have a cold start mechanism? The car runs sweet when its started and warm and starts straight away again when its been off for a short amount of time. I'm confused.com, had to insure my old celica again to get to work this morning :/ Any ideas on where I should be checking 1st?

I just bought my Zed 2 days ago and have already managed to reset my boost controller back to factory settings :whistling: Few questions I'm kinda stuck with is, if the controller is now back to normal will the engine just be back to stock boost and fuelling (as im worried about overboosting and pre detonation). Also does anyone have any experience in setting them up using the AUTO program or even manual? The car runs stock turbos/fuel pump/injectors. Any input would be great :thumbup:

Will be giving her a clean tommorrow so will hopefully get some pics on the go as it has totally different wheels on it now :) Been googling my ass off all night trying to find some info on this controller on a 300zx but to no avail :S According to the user manual you can set everything manually or use the AUTO programming mode. Quick rundown on what it says about the AUTO mode is basically you set a desired boost limit i.e 14PSI then take it a full throttle pull in 3rd or 4th gear. The controller then sets the base stock boost. Next step is another full throttle 3rd/4th gear run and the controller gradually builds up to the 14 PSI and sets everything else accordingly, well according to my understanding of it. Yea it has an aftermarket gauge reading in BAR I'll need to check what it's boosting too tomorrow. When it's ticking over it hovers at -0.5 if thats any help? Not 100% on it having a chipped ECU. I was thinking of using the AUTO learn setting and set the boost to 14/15 PSI, is this advisible? The main thing im not sure on is, if and/or how I alter the fuelling if I start altering the boost :no:

Bad times about the missus tho :/ Only been out in it for like 2 hours max so far and some guy came up in a 430bhp Evo like "Want a race" but I kindly declined till I'm off stock boost. Question for anyone here... If the Greddy E-01 has been reset to factory settings and I've currently set it to off... Will the car just be running stock boost from the ECU? Reason I'm asking this is im worried it will overboost for the amount of fuel being put through and pre-detonate :/

Well I bought Archie's Zed on saturday and I'm loving it so far :) Only thing is I may have reset the Greddy boost controller back to the stock settings -.- So if anyone has any experienece with them would be much appreciated! Didn't know there were so many as close, I'm from New Cumnock dude be good to get a meet up and talk Zed's im sure you can teach me a thing or 2 :D
