oem springs
great thanks Andrew, I may look at the 18" wheel option first and try to get a little more rubber between the rim and tarmac, as there isn't a lot with 19s which may help, it's mainly when I hot potholes the car hits them hard.

oem springs
hi guys currently looking at a spring swap on my car, basically with the state of the roads where I live the ride is quite harsh with potholes etc. I'm currently running kyb excel g shocks and eibach springs, so considering going with oem springs. are tt/ na springs the same? my other option is swapping my wheels from 19's down to 18's

windscreen washer jets
the Volvo washer jets arrived today, popped them in along with a one way valve and they work great. replaced the washer tubing under the bonnet as well whilst I was at it. the old jets broke on removal and were full of black gunk.

Car Alarms
got the ai 606 on mine, the siren is located under the nose panel, however mine failed 2/3 weeks ago, the car was a non starter first time ever, turns out one of the immobiliser circuits failed. I'm now looking at fitting just an imobiliser unit once I get the ai6o6 removed.

Lower fuel hoses
I had the battery out today to deal with some surface rust on the tray and generally clean the area around the battery, anyhow I noticed 2 rubber fuel lines, which I’m guessing have never been replaced as they are hidden with the battery in the car, they went under the a/c piping I can see the clamp on the end of one, are these replaceable with the engine in the car? I was considering replacing them and using spring clamps on refitting.

oil cooler lines
cool thanks Richard, probably my best option, I don't trust z1 silicone pipes after the fiasco with the pcv kit I bought off them, they started bleeding oil after 18months because they weren't lined, so I replaced them with a set from SFS which were lined.

oil cooler lines
hi guys, had the nose cone off the zed yesterday to clean the air filter, and I noticed the oil cooler lines are as hard as a rock, I'm guessing they are probably the originals so it's going to be time to change them soon, having a look around I can either replace with genuine rubber hoses or flurolined silicone, but mainly from the usa. does it really need the moulded hoses on there or can I just buy straight (flouro lined) silicone pipe and replace with that?

improving sound
I was looking at the ts-wx130ea, as I have dedicated front/rear and sub outputs on my stereo (also pioneer) plus I can set hi-pass and low-pass filters/ cross over frequency etc. I also have a gm-d1004 running the in car speakers. reviews seem pretty good apart from one guy who said he blew it up within a week (pushed it too hard I would guess) the verdict is still out, ideally I would like to find somewhere with one in stock I can listen too.

improving sound
hi guys so I'm looking at improving the sound quality of the stereo in the zed, I don't want a big boot build but something a lot more subtle just to give me a bit of punch, so I'm looking at under seat subs, anybody fitted them? if so what are they like, in particular I'm looking at the pioneer units.

number 1 misfire
the problem I had this morning was even trying to clean the wires back the copper was just snapping off, hopefully if I do go down the running replacement wires route I find something a little more solid to connect too.
-
number 1 misfire
got the old girl firing on all 6, even found the aprox location of the break in the wire, which was across the front of the engine, however looking at the PTU wires they are all very brittle and oxidised, I may cut them all back and replace all 6, but I get the feeling they won't be much different no matter how far I cut them back.

number 1 misfire
So I guess as I have later injectors I would need the later loom and swap the cas?
-
number 1 misfire
Thanks Andrew, PTU connectors all look fine, I have a series 2 unit and I spliced the plugs into my loom last year and dumped the adaptor harness, this gave me a point to test from, I simply tack soldered a wire to the joint and ran it to the cockpit to test continuity on the loom cable with a simple bleep test, but this showed an open circuit. The car was fine before I parked it up for winter, so can only guess the cold got to it and caused the break. WS are also doing RHD looms now, but seen mixed reviews, not seen any oem lhd looms but then I wasn’t looking.

number 1 misfire
just a little advice please guys, got a misfire on cylinder one which I've confirmed is no spark. I have 12v and earth from the coil pack connector. I've continuity tested the wiring, pin 1 on the output side of the PTU to coil pack one connector all fine checked pin 1 on the Ecu to pin 1 on the input side of the PTU and nothing so it looks like a broken wire, looking at the wiring diagrams I take it the wire is a constant run from Ecu to PTU and no connectors anywhere in between? on another note it maybe time to look at replacing the engine bay loom sooner rather than later, looking online it looks like wiring specialities seem to be the only place listing them, but seen mixed reviews, are they the goto supplier?

starting issues
ok just to put this to bed, it turns out it looks like the immobiliser shat it self, anyhow bypassed the immobiliser circuits and the car fired straight up, just the mis fire on number one to sort now.

starting issues
hi guys got a strange one, went to start the car today and it took a couple of turns to start, which is unusual, however it did start but I noticed I had a misfire on cylinder 1, so while the car was running I checked the injector was working as it should (they were new last year so should have been ok) so I switched it off after around 5 mins. so I checked the coil pack/plug on cylinder one, went to start the car and nothing, I'm suspecting possibly a broken wire somewhere but not 100% sure. at one point I had the ignition on, obviously not running and it sounded like a vac leak but obviously want that, after cycling the ignition it never did it again so far I have checked both green relays under the bonnet, they have power on both sides and checked they switch as they should. checked fuel is getting through, which it is but didn't seem to be a lot of pressure, from the fuel filter, but the system does pressurise and the pump shuts off. I have checked I have a live to all the injectors. checked all fuses connected to the ignition system and all seem ok. however on checking the coil pack connectors, I have an earth on each one, but with the ignition on I don't have a constant live on any of them, should there be a constant live across the coil packs? if so I believe that could be the problem, but any other suggestions appreciated.

E10 fuel
James may has bought a hydrogen car I think it was possibly last year or 2019, he said at the time the uk only has 4 hydrogen filling stations, all of them around London.
