  1. no my thoughts exactly i'm hopefully going to try this weekend, if it all seems a bit to far out it'll be a trip to zed world to get them redone
  2. the targa drain runs out through the lip on the bottom of the sill but thats bent 90 degrees round from where it should be so no chance of it draining
  3. something i've been going to sort since i got the car but not got round to it yet, on the rear of the drivers side sill a previous owner has tried jacking the car up so the lip at the bottom on the sill is bent over plus it's pushed the bottom of the sill panel in also, my concern is the targa drain that doesn'e seem to be draining because of this damage, can it be straightened or am i looking at getting the sill cut open & repaired, also got same damage on the passenger side front but thats bottom of the wing so should be easier to resolve.
  4. i thought turbo's different between man/auto but compression difference between na & turbo, turbo being low compression na being high compression
  5. i used contact cleaner/oil on mine didn't do a bad job just spray on and watch it bubble away as it removes the crap

i've decided to keep the zed out after sept this year but i'm guessing this will be on 30th sept?
  7. well got the dreaded fuel leaks back again this time my hose finishers (2) decided to let go huge leak so want to replace them and the braided hose can anybody tell me how much braided hose i need and the pressure it needs to be (and diameter please) , and somewhere i can buy decent annodised hose finishers not the cheapy ebay ones with crap jubilee clips
  8. i think a lot of stereo's have the bigger connector cut out built in but no pins so that connector may work, it would also work if you bought something with a trailing iso lead
  9. just looking on the web the bigger top section looks like it is used for steering wheel controls/joystick
  10. the bottom 2 parts look like standars iso but not sure about the top bigger plug any stereo you buy sould have the iso lead/plug if you know how to do wiring you should be able to also buy the opposite end with short cables to splice into your loom
  11. i use 123reg.com for both hosting and their instant site package costs me roughly £40 a year with domain name as well
  12. well i thought i was going to have my windscreen repaired tuesday, well polished to remove the wiper marks in the glass, but when the engineer turned up he also picked up loads of small stonechips in the glass, so reccomended i had a new screen fitted. so with that being done yesterday i can now actually see when the sun hits the screen, only one slight problem while fitting, the top trim sent out was different to the original not allowing it to clip in to the 2nd part on the bodt correctly so i had to have the 'universal trim' fitted instead, slightly wider than the stock one but looks ok on the car, but thank god for screen cover on the insurance the engineer told me retail price on the screen he fitted was £1080 plus fitting and thats not even a genuine nissan screen.:scared:
  13. heres one just after bolting on my 19's
  14. well they say because my 19's are polished lip they have to be diamond cut on a lathe to do them which involves stripping all paint off the wheels, paint, machine then laquer but £440 when i can buy a new set for a few ££££'s more lol
  15. good on you pete got some very slight curbing on mine and scratches in the laquer to repair, plus i dont fancy paying a company £120 a wheel to refurb!
  16. all looking good pete when my 19's need doing i'll give you a shout lol especially after the quote i've just received!

mines only on the road till end of this month, although i may tax it for another 6 months if weather looking ok, so depening on where/when i could be interested
  24. i have the remains of a ai606 in mine but the interior sensors and siren were both goosed when i bought the car, also whoever fitted it didn't put the drivers door locking actuator in the right place making it virtually impossible to unlock with the key, one of the jobs on my ever growing to do list
  25. you need a 4 in 4 out sound card such as the maya 44 which will allow you to have 2 stereo channels out and 2 stereo in, the time code cd is downloadable from the vdj site also i think there is a good write up on how to set it up with timecode on the vdj forum
