  1. front and rear toe are spot on, i just wanted to check camber settings, as i said above the car does feel a lot more positive handling wise, especially the rear where the main adjustment was done
  2. just want to check with the tec bods what my camber should be set at, i use the car for normal road use, lowered 20mm using eibach springs with kyb shocks (non adjustable) with 19" wheels, 8.5 front 9.5 rear, just had it set up but can get it readjusted if needed, it's close to the stock settings on the machine with a little extra adjustment to allow for the wider wheels, but still within the specified range. front left -1º 24 front right -1º03 rear left -0º59 rear right -0º54 the car does feel a lot more positive on the road now than before, but don't want to wear the tyres excessively
  3. something better will pop up especially when a zed like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141299826184?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT goes for £3100, this used to belong to a southwest member on here a few years back, and he spent 000's on it.
  4. selling a car cover that fits the zed (lwb), bought it off another member on here a few years back and used it once, so might as well sell it, silver in colour, has zipped side flaps which can be used to open car doors whilst covered, comes with carry bag & bungee straps to strap it to the car (pic included of it on the zed) these are quite expensive new so looking for £50 plus delivery (£8.99)
  5. i think i found the cause of this leak the glue bonding the rear spoiler let go, on the passenger side roughly half the spoiler came unstuck with very little pressure so re bonded that with tiger seal, prob put to much on but never to much i say, and on the drivers side the bead of seal around the edge of the spoiler had deteriorated in place letting water behind the spoiler, although it is firmly attached i ran a bead of seal across washed the car and so far no water ingress
  6. be careful buying off euro car parts, they list a 031 for the zed, but the terminals are the wrong way round you need a 030. i think 031 must be for a z31
  7. hmm good tips, i have changed the rubber grommet around the rear wiper last year, i'll check around the brake light but i have a fibreglass stock style rear spoiler fitted
  8. no it's inside tailgate itself really strange one, only notice it after rain and i lift the tailgate then it pours out from the trim at the side of the rear window
  9. looking for help on this as i can't find the leak, after rain i have a water inside the tailgate, only notice it when i lift the tail gate and it leaks out from under the palstic trims inside the lid, i have replaced the rubber gromit around the rear wiper, spoiler is a fibre glass version of the stock unit but looks like it's sealed all round, it it likely the rear screen could be leaking?
  10. well i did a 100mile round trip today just for the hell of it, plus the first drive after sorting my electrical gremlins etc, so it was a roof off day, hay on wye was one of the many towns i passed through and it made me smile the amount of people walking past while i was sat in traffic saying things like 'wow it's a z', 'that's a zx not seen one of those in years', 'what a lovely example of a 300'
  11. i've used the por15 product, it is very good but use the correct surface prep first can't remember what it's called but you spray the product on keep it wet for a while whilst it dissolves the rust and leaves a zinc coating over the rusty area then use the por 15 paint over the top, did some bits on my white zed with it 10years ago and no signs of rust coming back yet, got a few areas to do on the black zed inc sub frames etc
  12. i'm not going to make it down tomorrow got a few 'zed' issues i need to sort, main one being various electrical problems
  13. maybe monday but can't confirm until tomorrow
  14. well the coilovers arrived yesterday, was all good untill i opened the box and noticed they had sent the wrong units, the units they did sent were of great build quality but for a lexus ls300, the company are blaming the warehouse for labelling them wrong when the right part number is on the box, downside is the company are based in china but use a uk warehousing company to despatch the items, and they have now told me they won't have anymore in the uk for 6 weeks!
  15.:lol::lol: i went with the ebay ones for now if anything i can at least check the quality before they go on the car and i have 14 days to return them and a 12month uk warranty, offered them £369 and they accepted! it would of cost me similar to import from z1 plus duty etc, only reason i went that way was lack of anything else shock wise in the uk, bilstein's are £300 a pair! after speaking to mike at mjp tockico & stock shocks currently unavailable
  16. yes my thoughts exactly seem a little too cheap imho but maybe ok he's sold a few
  17. ok looking for a set of shocks for the zed, not interested in used i currently have eibach's and oem shocks but 1 is leaking so going to replace the lot, i'm either looking at kyb's from z1 or these on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Adj-Damper-Coilover-For-Nissan-Fairlady-Z-300ZX-Z32-Shock-Absorber-Coil-Struts-/141036548236?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20d66ef08c but i'm not convinced by the price they seem a little to cheap, anybody used these or had any experiance with them?
  18. something like this would of been of interest to me but certain things dictate what i can can't do, for example bank holiday weekend i work fri/sat/sun night just leaving monday free , plus i'm not putting the zed back out till may this year
  19. me too forest of dean
  20. could be up for this depending when in sept as car goes off the road for winter end of sept. otherwise may turn up in the range rover
  21. not long put a s2 ptu on with loom but could be some corrosion in there i know the s1 ptu was stuck firm on the connectors when i removed it, there is my weekend planned then lol
  22. i was thinking possible valve stem oil seals or oil pushing past them where it's due a change, other thought was maybe electrical contact gremlins,i have changed injector connectors since i've had the car but not coil pack connectors although these were changed by previous owner i don't know when
  23. good point i don't think i have but they were done about 6 months before i bought the car, ok had car 3 years but only done about 5k in that time
  24. well where to start looking on this one, i've gained a slight misfire but only for the first couple of seconds after a cold start (as in car been stood a few days) it is litterally as the car first fires and builds upto cold tick over revs then it's gone, it was accompanied by a puff of smoke this morning first time it's done that, then car runs ok with no issues, i've got no water loss but using a bit of oil, and prob due a oil change too. any help appreciated
