  2. not sure if anybody has changed or modified theirs, but it seems these are no longer available from nissan, my car has failed the mot on a number plate light not working, and on inspection today one of the terminals inside the light has broken off. anybody else had to change them for a different type? i really want to keep to stock looking, maybe a LED version. my car is jap import if it makes a difference

  4. only reason i've gone powerflow is because they have a dealer close to where i live, and the rest of my cat back system is powerflow, not sure if the larger diameter front pipes will make much difference to the exhaust note, currently i have standard pipes with a section welded in where the cats should be
  5. pretty sure i have no precats just standard elbows, had a think about it a bit more and decided to go down the custom made route rather than the ebay route by time i've bought the pipes and paid to get them fitted etc, then it's quality of the pipes. so i'm paying a little more £300 fully fitted to have powerflow front pipes made up, i'm booked in to get them made & fitted next monday. as i'm planning on keeping the zed a while it's prob the better option
  6. Brake servo leaking was exact term used, it does whistle when braking hard or if my foot is on the brake for a period of time like when stopped in traffic
  7. before i turn to ebay has anyone got a brake servo for a '91 jap tt this is quite urgent as i've just failed the mot with mine leaking
  8. after all the welding the zed still failed it's mot today luckilly only one major job the rest are quite small in comparason. 1 number plate light not working 2 horn not working 3 exhaust leaking 4 brake servo leaking quick question are these the correct front pipes for a jap tt? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-300ZX-Z32-TURBO-NON-TURBO-STAINLESS-STEEL-DE-CAT-DECAT-DOWNPIPE-EXHAUST-/230713275628?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&fits=Model%3A300+ZX&hash=item35b79534ec
  9. I would also not think twice, Jeff was my first contact for the welding I've just had done, always did a first class job for me.
  10. Yes he does a lot of mg's but has done various Zeds for zedworld over the years
  11. That's my next job as well as removing the rear spats the fronts were virtually destroyed so have been left off. Rears arn't much better lol
  12. just got back from picking up the zed and wow what a fantastic job, you can't even tell the sills have been welded and as an added bonus, all the box sections in the sills and bumper supports have been waxoiled with access points left so i can reapply it every few years. interesting journey back though, stopped in the services and a guy came straight over to talk to me about the zed. turns out he was a former owener of one untill a few years ago and regrets selling!. plus when i came out of the services there were random people taking pics of the old girl, just wish it hadn't been so dirty after driving down the motorway in the rain lol.
  13. it suprised me how bad it was i knew the sills were going but not the rest but at least i should get quite a few more years driving now before it needs anymore attention
  14. few more, left side complete on this one
  15. i've got pics of the work so far but only being able to upload 5 at a time is a pain
  16. well i'm just waiting the call to tell me the zed is ready to collect after what was going to be a simple sill repair welding wise which turned into, both rear sills, both front sills, and both rear bumper supports, glad to say they have had a first class job done on them by guy eastwood, who jeff tt reccomended to me (he did all the zedworld welding jobs) so has done hundreds of zeds, so i knew the car was in safe hands. here are a few pics of work in progress, he is also waxoilin the box sections to help protect them.
  17. lets hope so need to get some miles on the zed this year, last 3 years i've done less than 800 miles per year
  18. i keep missing these, although i'm without the zed for 2/3 weeks after thursday, whilst it's away having the tin termites exterminated from my sills
  19. not seen a silver one i keep passing a black z31 in cinderford where i live, but used to be loads around here i think i'm the only one left in the forest area
  20. ha no i wasn't driving the zed at the time i was on my way to work in chelt, so was driving my range rover.
  21. it was on discovery turbo yesterday or thurs

  23. cheers both i'll have a check round this week when i do the discs, dosent seem to be any play anywhere but something is not right.
  24. hi guys got a knock on my passernger side rear suspension, only really doses it when i hit potholes in the road, it almost sounds like strut is loose but i know the bolts are tight. current set up is kyb excell shocks (new less than 600 miles ago) with eibach 20mm lowering springs that i fitted last year so new gaskets on the strut tops too, i've checked all the bolts on the suspension and everything is tight, the problem has been there for a while and got worse/louder after fitting upper camber arms. is it possibly the strut top mount gone faulty? drivers rear corner is quiet as it should be.
  25. my bad cool, just noticed my front & rear discs are a little shot so going to replace the 4 and done with it lol
