  1. That's what was happening to mine and the head gasket had gone
  2. I liked it better when it was just a for sale section and a wanted section. Just been having a look at its just a big mess IMO for people looking through.
  3. Jeff how can you tell if its the thermostat? On a conzult or what ever
  4. I find this quite helpful... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=48699&d=1244586707
  5. I would generally check for corrosion on most plugs and stuff. Maybe do a boost leak check. If I'm honest, I very much doubt there'd be any fault codes for what you're having. I'm guessing you don't have data scan or conzult or anything?
  6. I don't have why having a nistuned ecu would stop you fron getting fault codes. I have one and I can get them. I generally use the data scan or something though. What have you checked so far mate? Slight Hesitation like that is fairly common but could be a few things so might help to advise what you've tried if anything. If you need to start from scratch I'll list some possible for you to try
  7. Hey, I'm much more of an albatross than a big donkey lol. Yeah, we use to have a £0 excess for chips and scratches on a windscreen and £50 for a replacement. Now its £75 for replacement and £10 for a chip/scratch. The main problem for insurers were companies that sit in car parks etc telling everyone to come and get their windows fixed and telling them its free if you have comp cover and all that. Although it cost the customer nothing, it would be billing to the insurer for every little thing. This in turn puts premiums up in general as windscreen claims are taken in to companies loss ratios and things. All a bit of a viscious circle really as the insurance is there to make money first and foremost otherwise they wouldn't be in business.
  8. Good luck mate. Hope you stick around
  9. Generally it doesn't affect your NCB. It could affect premiums but it would generally depend on a lot of other factors. So for example, if you are a clean risk and have one windscreen claim, chances are there'd be little or no difference because of the claim. If you had loads of points on your licence and 4 other claims then chances are the windscreen would be taken in to account more as you are more likely to make more claims and you're a higher risk etc. From a more technical stance. Any claim could be taken in to account and it's completely up to your insurer whether they increase the price.
  10. Woohoo. Now I'm gonna pretend to be the guru of guessing.
  11. I'll tell you what I think. I reckon, because the original owner though it was faster than a TT he has swapped the clock face only to a MPH face but the speedo is still in KMS. The MPH clock face would normally have the KMS in small on it. Get up to 62 ish and see if your speedo says 100.
  12. Wasn't that just down to thrower the guy was claiming though
  13. Someone must have expected a cheeky comment from me lol
  14. I wouldn't worry too much about ins co's telling the police you were speeding as it would probably fall in to PDA. However I would think that police (in the future somewhere) may start requesting data following accidents etc. nothing on the cards at the minute that I know of but ill find out at work next time I'm speaking to the guru's on it
  15. I like my veilside exhaust but I do like the look of quad exhausts. But you were asking about sound weren't ya, so in that case the veilside one is lovely
  16. Was mark carrying ladders around with him to reach the window lol
  17. No experience personally but I work in insurance. In short the telematics will look at how you drive and the insurance premiums will go up or down depending on the data. Personally, I am staying as far clear as possible but its personal choice
  18. I quite like the strosek kit
  19. Not worth that amount though are they
  20. I think wet air filter or maf too
  21. You're welcome. Are you on Facebook? There's a conversation going on about it and I'll invite you to it if you like
  22. Pmsl. I knew exactly what his funkiness would say pmsl.
  23. I have a wings west front bumper sat in the garage, its been there a while and quite honestly it'll never get fitted so I'm thinking, should I get rid. Anyway, what do you lot think its worth? Its a fiberglass one that's never been fitted. Thanks Lee
  24. Hi, Here you go... This is the guy that owned the car and you can look back through his posts to find some history on the car. I believe it is currently at jurgens place (j.m. imports)... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/member.php?17753-nncferreira
