  1. You could bring it to Sunderland and stick it on my drive if you'd like too. Really sorry to hear you're having problems mate
  2. For some strange reason I was thinking about this the other day. Obviously most of us have an alarm/immobiliser etc but does anyone do anything else to keep the cars safe For example, I was thinking, would it be a good idea to remove the odd fuse so the car wouldn't start and things
  3. So do you think it could be a dead CAS?
  4. Where's the before picture
  5. I think these look nice and a great gesture from the club. Thanks to those who decided this.
  6. Hi all, First and foremost. I'm sorry to anyone I may have upset. I have now edited my post. I know the whole thread isn't aimed at me but feel since it was my post that seemed to be the straw that broke the camels back so to speak, I thought Id comment. I've been on here for quite some time and more than most these days and never had an issue with any of the committee, mods or general members. As Gary said, he knows what I'm like and no malice is ever I any of my posts. Once again, I'm sorry if I upset anyone by my joke, I never watch the news or anything so don't know much about what's going on in the world if anything. In regards to taking the piss or having a bit of banter... I think that's one of the things that makes this forum a good place to frequent. Mot of my posts are a little joke like and if I was to only post factual stuff, I'd probably not have much to say are wouldn't post a lot. With that in mind, ill obviously think about my posts a bit more but obviously on this occasion it was in response to Gary who knew I was just trying to have a laugh.
  7. That's lovely
  8. Hi Gary, Hasn't anyone tried to email or call the moderator? Sorry if I've missed something here
  9. I'm looking forward to us all having the cars running right. Over the moon you've got the car back Kev
  10. Where did you but the replacement sills?
  11. Hi all, After a good condition front wing in black. Preferably a 93-93 car for the colour code.
  12. Silverline, I'm sorry to see this. Out of interest, did/do you not have the original piping? Or is the seller suggesting its broken because the original stuff wasn't used?
  13. You should give me rep
  14. Oh yes, certainly can't see this one being in question like. I recon the evidence is compelling haha
  15. The problem there comes when I third party individual (the other driver) accepts responsibility and then changes his mind. Or although they felt mortally responsibly, they weren't legally responsible etc. Was looking at an interesting one just last week involving that kind of thing. Obviously (and sadly) I can't go in to it though
  16. See, told you id hook ya up and get you a pass to go to more shows ;)
  17. Glad you're getting there mate. Thing about using your insurers recommended repairer is that you may get certain guarantees for the work (depending on your company of course). The insurer I work for gives lifetime guarantees on paint and boy repairs if using our recommended repairers. I agree with the above, if the paint/repair isn't up to standard, don't accept it. The courtesy car side of things may also depend on the insurers policy, quite often you don't get a like for like.
  18. They're just a business like everyone else. The problem comes because everyone inflates their losses as much as they can which means the industry is getting tighter and tighter sadly. Theres also a rediculous amount of fraud around now which makes everything worse. Heightened premiums, insurers naturally needing to investigate things more thoroughly etc. I remember when I first started working in insurance, things were pretty good and now, it's really demanding.
  19. Often the insurer / their engineer will look to determine the per accident condition of the car and that'd be taken in to account before they make the offer. Generally speaking, the whole point in insurance is to put you back in the same financial position you were in prior to the loss (minus you excess if you were at fault/partially at fault). You should put pics up
  20. I reveal like its missing something
  21. It looks pretty nice to be honest
  22. I believe it would potentially be an offence for the van driver to have left the scene and not giving details. In regards to the claim amount, I'm guessing the car is going to be a total W/O? Has that been agreed yet? Also have the insurers actually made you a settlement offer?
  23. I'm not keen at all. It looks all wrong
