  8. yep tescos do it and so do Asda now if they have the photo lab
  9. cracking idea insurance data base ....just got mine with 2gether insurance on a classic policy with mods 470 ..a lot more than most but then again mine is heavily modified so i didnt think it was too bad and the service was spot on
  10. i would personaly get it flocked mate, gives it a velvety / action man comando hair finish to it..but not ginger ....:)
  11. the fact that the rain water and jet washing helped points to a lubrication issue , it will not be the water that has lubricated the UJ it will be the contaminants in the rain water carried in with it ..diesel off the road , and grease from under the car . it soon dries up though and back to square one ..get some wd40 in there on a dry day and see if it helps then grease it ....

on stock internals as Smithy said going anywhere near 20 psi is going to end in a bang and big one IMO the rods should be fine but you should really be looking at forged pistons if you want a relaible 400+rwbhp i have forged bottem end and race bearings stronger arp bolts stage 1 cams , metal head gaskets and i know my engine is sound but i will be well happy if i get anywhere near 400 rwbhp when its all ran in ......if i want more i will be having a mapping session and probably taking it down to Jimmer to fit a stand alone emerald ecu and have it mapped .........but for now im just going to enjoy it as it is did you upgrade your brakes i cant remember you spec buddy ??
  13. nice one ..congrats mate....now get a zed bought :)

to be honest bud thats about the going rate for mapping ......make sure they are insured and will cover damages if mapped incorrectly ..ive seen engines destroyed with DET being to lean while being mapped on the rollers.....and engines destroyed with bore wash by overfuelling "to be on the safe side" ..its a fine art and one with risks attached if your going for silly high power without supporting mods......
  15. just got the digitaly remastered floyd collection box set of my wifey for chrimbo last year ..its epic.......oops off topic.....car alarm fitters will check teh system and certificate it for you ..cost me 30 quid two months ago when i did my Merc ..saved 75 quid on the insurance after it was fitted :)
  16. Ian i am absolutely stoked for you ..i know the long hard batle you have had to get this resolved .....big internet handshake on its way for never giving up and never losing faith in yourself in being able to get this sorted.....relax a little now and enjoy the rest of your life buddy with your family, steve and Niki
  17. if its high tourque you are after then a v8 would be a good starting point, plenty oflight weight all alloy v8's out there ....lexus, ford, merc, audi, GM and they take really well to supercharging with teh suporting mods.....
  18. great family spirit on this. forum .........wouldnt get this from the porsche owners club .....i have spare headlights as well and my family live in M'bro if you need them i could get them moved from morecambe and dropped off at the hotel for you ...good luck with it mate ......these zeds remind me of early Yuppies in their porkers spinning at speed into trees in the 80"s .....got to give em some respect in the damp or they will bite your leg off
  19. hi Nicci, hope you get it all sorted , obvioulsy your husband is aware you are insecure and not happy with him having lady friends , call it jealousy if you wish, and he knows you react badly to any threat on your relationship ie a gym buddy, so why has he done it ?? why did he not say to this gym buddy, that would be great going to the gym together and working out together but you know what , i know it would upset my wife so thanks but no thanks she means the world to me and i just dont want her upset, ....i know thats how i would play it in his shoes, secrets are poison, in my opinion its not him you should be talking to its his gym buddy , call her and explain , calmly and rationaly as a friend that her close relationship with your partner is putting a strain on your marriage , put the ball in her court, she may be insecure also and just want a male friend , get to the root of the matter , she probably does not realise what harm or concern she is causing you , as another woman she should see your point and understand , have you tried going as your chaps gym buddy?? go as a threesome see what its all about, gyms are very public places so you can guarentee there is no mischief going on in there....if you see it first hand how they are with each other in the gym and why they need a gym buddy it may well ease the tension and mistrust you feel, ..there is nothing worse than not knowing as the minds eye will conjour up all sorts of green eyed monsters to deal with........good luck steve
  20. its cold and white at the moment matey !! but in summer it has its perks Lol ...........
  21. just for you fella ..but it would be nice to see what we distractions we all have ... :) so come on post up your distractions .....male or female depending on which team you bat for :)
  22. bloody Sheriff of notingham is running the tax program for cars ....did you sorn it for the 5 years mate ?
  23. also worth noting that the stock clutch is at its limit on this kind of whp especialy om cars of this age and will most probably slip ...if you are going for a boost upgrade then a clutch is worth budgeting for and dont forget the brake overhaul...excellent results can be had from the standard discs by doing a brake caliper service and uprating the pads to DS2500 and changing the fluid...its great going fast but if you cant stop......!!! a good alternative if its acceleration increase you want is changing the TT diff to a NA one......pound for pound a brilliant mod as others will testify to
  24. so so sorry to hear of the loss of Libby Jeff, you and the family must be gutted we are both dog lovers so also feel your grief RIP Libby kindest regards Steve and Niki
  25. good god wash my mouth out with soapy water what have i just said !!!
