  1. Don't suppose you could share the wealth? I've been meaning to do this for a while but had the same problem and couldn't find the right size panel. Thanks very much.
  2. chears bud, mite be a while before i get round to it like.
  3. just noticed i've got this wrong, i want the seal not the bearing. i've posted again in the traders section anyway....
  4. yeah think i've bought from him previously, i'll have a look. any idea how bad it is to change?
  5. anybody know where to source one from? and any idea on a price and how much of a chew on they are to change?
  6. the thought did cross my mind but he was requesting insurance details over the radio, so if i wouldn't of corrected him it would of came back uninsured i think, or the radio people would have corrected him.
  7. I've had a fair few, first sp30 in 2005 doing 34. Second October 2010 sp30 doing 36, managed to get away with a speed awareness course. Then another sp30 in April this year, and then i got clocked at 102mph on the A1m in July, turns out the copper was a really nice guy, only gave me 3 points and a fine instead of a ban, but he did then fine me another £60 for an illegal number plate. Thought my zed was a mitsubishi gto though, even wrote it down on the ticket till i corrected him. And I've still only got 6 points!!!!!!
  8. well finally got the new hose fitted on Friday, and hopefully it's a good enough distance to keep it cool enough. looked again at the idea of a solid pipe, and drew the conclusion that there would need to be a bit of flex otherwise the movement of the engine could then cause a problem. but hopefully i shouldn't have to change it again anyway.
  9. thats slightly worrying, i ordered it on the thursday, still nothing yet, got the email to say it was dispatched yesterday...
  10. i can't remember exactly how it was ran last time, but i think it was just taken off the master and then threaded down the gap next to the turbo's and cable tied to the body to keep it away. couldn't see any other route for it to take with the limeted space we had. it was done on the road outside my house with nothing more than a jack and a couple of bricks to raise it up. I reckon its gunna be a similar rushed job this time too when the new hose finally arrives. but then hopefully in the not too distant future i'll get my mate to put it up on his lift and then have a go at making a solid pipe. It's been nearly a week since the new hose was ordered, was hoping it would be here on saturday, i've ordered some bits from ebay since ordering the hose and they've allready arrived.
  11. As i burst my second braided hose last week (and z centre are taking the piss sending me a new one) I have being thinking about changing the layout. I have a single hose from the master to the slave and unfortunately it is running dangerously close to the exhaust/turbo's. I know there is a few bits "trunking" to run the hose through to keep it away, but i still think it's a pretty shit system. My initial idea was to somehow get a longer hose and reroute it a completely different way, however i came to the conclusion that it would have to be custom made and may well be more chew than its worth. So after speaking to the ever helpful zedworld team, the idea was put in my head of making a hose out of brake pipe or something similar, a solid metal pipe that would hopefully never burst. just wondering if anyone has ever tried this, or if anyone has found a better solution, or if anyone just has any thoughts on the idea.
  12. I played for Redcar mariners, it was a couple of years ago mind. Teams not even going anymore, my mates started there own to replace them, think they're known as the rockets now, i'd still play but just don't have time with work etc. Still play play outdoor ocasionally like. played most for redcar college, "whats his face" from middlesbrough lions set up a league. Real names Steven Davies.
  13. I was at work at the time and the car was at home. I've ordered em anyway just because they were cheep, probably won't get round to fitting them for an eternity though. cheers for the help though guys
  14. so not too much of a chew on to change then? don't supose there is a photo of them on the car thats easy to find?
  15. I remember there being a detailed labeled picture of the under bonnet but i can't seem to find it now. some nice cheep red ones in zcentre was thinking of buying just to bulk up the order so that i'm not just getting a clutch hose. but the picture doesn't look familiar.
  16. well noise does seem to have stopped now, took it for a spirited drive last night and it sounds fine, so i'm not worried anymore.
  17. unfortunatly i burst my clutch hose lastnight again so think mine'll be off the road for a few days so don't think i'll make it. How long have you being a referee for bird? i used to play in the local league.
  18. Hi I'm Steve, from Redcar, 1990 Grey Jap Turbo Manual. don't have Pm allthough find me on FB (Steven Davies) Also founda swell little group on fb, people post up when mobile speed cameras are seen in the cleveland area, if you subscribe your mobile you get txt updates to let you know, its all perfectly legal and its free. i'm game for a meet somtime soon before the weather comes.
  19. Its a Zedworld prop gonzo. So what is the worse case scenario? if the noise has basically stopped now i should I just forget about it unless returns. but if it continues then its a prop out job again?
  20. After months of the thing cluttering up my house finally got round to fitting my single piece prop shaft today. Only problem i noticed was that the new shaft had 2 master splines, where as the gearbox output shaft didn't seem to. Ended up getting it on ok (after lowering the diff) and after getting it all back together pulled it off the lift and the difference was instantly noticeable, the hole car just seemed so much smoother (the centre bearing on the old prop was horrendous, the play on it was unreal). Couple of meters down the road, noticed a reasonably high pitched whining/tapping noise, it was in time to the speed of the car, i.e. didn't increase/decrease with gearbox speed just speed of the wheels/prop turning, and seen as though nothing else was played with it is pointing to the prop, at first thought it may of been the heat shield catching so put it back on the lift and had another good look and lowered the heat shield but that didn't solve it. Anyway decided to risk the 40mile trip home ears poised for the noise getting worse but on the home stretch it did seem to have dramatically decreased to a point that it may of even stopped. Anybody think this may be a cause for concern? my idea is if it was something catching or rubbing the fact that it's gotten better or maybe stopped does it mean its just then worn down or even come off? also did notice that the gearbox seal on the output shaft seems to be on its way out, however before its suggested we didn't lose any oil whilst changing the prop and the noise wasn't there on the way there so i don't think its related. plus it still changes gear just as beautifully as it allways has. Has anybody changed one of these before, does the box need to come out? as allways answers on a stamped address envelope and any advice, help or opinions is going to be awesome
  21. Yeah cheers bud, managed to find that sky scanner site last night, managed to get £77 from London city for the dates i wanted. now just got to find the dutch equivalent to a travel lodge
  22. well thats the thing, i'm not really bothered where i fly from i just wanna know my options
  23. I want to go to eindhoven in holland in febuary, but everytime i try to get a price it's coming back with nearly £600 with stops here and there, allthough eindhoven has an airport I think its small so therefore hard to find a flight from the uk, so i think rotterdam would be the next best place, but how the hell do i find a cheep way of getting there????
  24. yeah its the same colour, looks mean as now its lower, think he's after a new bumper now as well, i'll try and get some pictures to put up. As if its a red one with a horse on, why would you put another badge on a zed????? that is a bit harsh like being on 10k, when i was a full time student i got a bursary and grants which came to around 3k, the studentloan company took the piss sorting it out though so instead of me getting it in installments throughout the year it all came in a oner at around april, in fact thats the money i used to get my zed, its respray and its first years insurance. so i was pretty pleased actually.
