I'll have a look at that. I thought that the amp feed was from a separate relay with a 10A fuse but it I get on when I get another chance.does make sense to have the stereo switch the relay. seen as the amp doesn't have a remote feed, I'll let you know how I get on when i have another chance.

I'll just have to wait till i have a multimeter. didn't really prepare myself very well today.

I'm trying to fit the bose speaker boxes today. it turns out the wiring is already there with the correct plugs to fit. however its not working, the speakers work without the little amp but not with. unfortunately i've left my multimeter at work so i don't know if there's voltage there. So i'm guessing because the car wasn't fitted with them originally then it'll just be missing the fuse. but seen as though my fuse board label is in hieroglyphics i have no idea where to start. and the search function isn't helping me. Anyone able to shed some light?

I've got a cheep ebay set in now, been in nearly 2 years I think and they're still going strong. had my m.o.t tester re adjust the height though because they were aimed a little to low for my liking. Regret getting the 6000k ones though now, they are rather blue.

Well if everyones joining in I may aswell. !8" Hassami 3 piece rims. 235mm on the front, and still unsure on the back, got 255's stretched at the minute. Before the Refurb After the Refurb in shadow chrome.

Looking at the drawing it appears I was right, the extra two wires are a switched 12v feed for the amps. Going to assume that my car wasn't fitted with the extra relay and the additional wires ran so i'll have to somehow run a switched supply to the boot. just need somewhere to put the switch.

Yeah I was wanting to use the amps in the boxes. just curious as to weather i'll need to run a new feed and if i'm going to need a switch.

These ones I took after some "model" asked if they could get some pictures with the car. but for the life of me I can't find the photo's the actual photographer took. I hope to god they're better than the "models" Please don't think that this is the average calibre of girls in my local Teesside area, there are better...honest :whistling: managed to find this one after searching facebook.

Just got my speaker boxes today from craig (thanks again) although i'm a little puzzled as to the wiring arrangement. embarrassing for an electrician, but in my defense it is for a car. There are two cables (green and orange) with spade connectors, i'm assuming these are the two for my speaker, and then there's is a 4 pin plug. with another pair of green an orange, and also a brown and black. I'm once again assuming that the green and orange would be to connect to my existing speaker cables that return to my headunit. and then the other two must then be a live and neutral for the amplifiers. If I am correct then does that mean I need to run a switched live into the rear? guessing with no space for the remote i won't be able to just take it straight from my amp because then it would always be on. If anyone can clear this up would be much appreciated.

yeah they seem to be the cheapest. like the idea of next day delivery too. just need to get the bose boxes first so i can make sure they're guna fit first.

Dude this is all such bad crack. I really do feel for you. one of my biggest fears while driving is for someone to shunt me from the back. I know for a fact i'd end up worse off, either the car not been the same as it was, or it costing me more on premiums. its awful really. Hope you get it all sorted bud with a good outcome.
