  2. Two bedroom ground floor apt in Torreblanca area of Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol.. Available now up to 10th Aug. Pool. gardens. Nice views from patio. About 10 -15 mins walk from Torreblanca beach. Close to plenty of facilities. Fuengirola is a family orientated resort. Apt is about 30 mins on local train direct from outside Malaga airport. No hire car needed . Use of car would just expand the area and things you could do. I never bother. been mine for last 15 years or more. Check out flight availability and prices. Call me do discuss dates/ prices etc 07778 411568
  3. IMO you will be looking at receiving very little money indeed. The fact that it needs work before it can be in good order will put at least 50% of potential people off and you will be left with the basement bargain hunters Just look at selling prices on here or anywhere else... Ebay. Pistonheads. Autotrader to get some figures. Remember that advert "selling prices" are not the price the car may actually sell for. Britain has become a bargaining culture country now. Dont mean to sound negative but given my daughters experience in selling an immaculate low mileage 2 owner from new Pug 206Sport Im not overly optimistic about your chances. The IMPORTANT question is what do you think its worth.... or put another way what are you prepared to accept as an absolute minimom amount of money
  4. IMO....IMO...IMO. Yes they do affect performance and handling ... in a negative may. More importantly anyone doing this to extremes is exceeding the Tyre /Car manfuacturers reccomendations/guidelines Just the sort of this a Loss adjuster working for an Insurance company will pick up on as a reason to duck out of paying up. Over zealous coppers/ DOT roadside checkers will no doubt see them as a reason to take action against the driver.
  5. Or a new driver????:rofl::rofl::rofl:
  6. An addition......Rented out when refurbished hopefully to provide me with the pension that the State doesnt provide.:2guns:
  7. Well not Brand new .... just new to me. Hopefully contracts were exchanged today:closedeyes: Needs a little TLC:whistling: Actually it is a Building society repo.... and needs everything doing. Better get cracking then:yes: http://www.your-move.co.uk/images/2/133643/Thumbs/64257874.jpg
  8.:rofl::rofl: looks like the best "Newbie" thread of the year:clap: And Im going to claim bonus points for suggesting that roobarb joined us on here instead of some other quiet unnamed site she was on. Anyway its all gone off topic now roobarb. Now is the time to post in the help and advice section to find that contact info you needed.
  9. I told you it would run to three pages on day 1.:winkiss:
  10. A CAS can be done to a mirror finish in about 1 hour with the correct gear and a little method. BEFORE doing ANY polishing you need to get the metal smooth with no pitting or scratching. For this you need a fibral mop impregnated with aluminium oxide. Once you have SMOOTH linished metal you can start polishing. start with a Sisal mop and a coarse/fast cut bar of polish. (Fast cut is normally grey) Then you move to a stitched calico mop. I like to carry on with a little fast cut before moving to a fresh stitched mop using med or fine compound. If you want a REALLY good finish then use med first before moving to a third mop with fine polish.. I use 4" mops in a power drill mounted on a stand. You need a drill with around 900W or more.. Speed is important. not too fast... not too slow. Cordless drills are no good(not enough power) and angle grinders are no good as they revolve way too fast. Bench grinder normall not much use unless you have a VERY powerful one ie 750W or more Not a drop of AUTOSOL or wet n dry paper in sight... please note. Its not cheap to get all the gear together but you can do lots once you have it. 1 or 2 impregnated Fibral mops(med + fine) 1 Sisal mop. 2 or 3 stitched calico mops. Half bar of grey fast cut. Half a bar of medium and maybe of fine too. These tend to be white and blue or maybe green. That it. The rest is practice.
  11. Guys you only use ETCH Primer on bare metal. Groover has highlighted the correct product.... Barcoat. There is some sort of reaction going on with a previous paint. cheapest fix is to remove ALL the paint back down to the fibreglass and start again. HTH
  12. Noooooooooo!! roobarb is a LADY owner. Glad you found us:thumbup: I told you you would get a warm welcome!! I have to tell you peeps on here that the car is REALLY nice. However I dont want to spoil the anticipation of photos arriving so Im saying nowt more:innocent: Its a manwell TT just to tempt you all:nana2::nana2:
  13. Dream on.......... There will be a substantial amount of money needed up front to become a UK distributor. As soon as they were available here someone like Luke at Z Centre or Dave/Car Mad would buy one and start ripping off cheapo copies. Result.... failed business for the Distributor.
  14. Yep! You need to remove all the sound deadening stuff that is stuck everywhere inside. Remove all original heater stuff and replace with a small lightweight "kit car" on. Two ducts to screen and two to footwells is all thats needed.
  15. Yep it certainly is quick. Quicker than 99% of all TT Z32s
  16. Why do you want to fit any sort of baffle?? Its going to kill the power
  17. no he is Nidge on Z club. Real name Neil Both Sat and Sun were eligible days for the Z Club Drag Challenge If you look on our forum there is a thread all about it. Rob Z32 and Hitman13 ran on Sat. They rest of us were there today on the club stand that we organized. One blue Z32 (Nidge) and the rest of us in our 240Zs. I didnt run my stock maroon car cos its for sale!! The other rat look LHD car didnt run either cos the young driver had "borrowed" Dads car for the day.. The other 4 240Zs present all ran. Great day out and lots of fun. My good buddy Steve with the blue/carbon fibre 240Z ran an all time low time of 12.45 with a terminal speed of 111.8mph. That is with a normally aspirated street legal 3 litre Datsun engine.
  18. IMO... not a cat in hells chance of something that cheap n nasty working on a Nissan quality stud. yeh but if you dont do it centyrally you will cause yourself a headache. its best done with a pillar drill off the engine. unless someonne whos good at it is local and willing to help your best bet to to pull the tub and get a local engineering firm to do it fopr you wont cost the earth. Wot he said!
  19. As Paul C has already mentioned it involves heat.... Lots of it and fast. Basically you need an oxy-acetyline torch on full heat. apply the flame on the nut and heat it up quickly till it glows. Then immediately wind off the offending nut while still glowing. all needs to be done quickly to avoid the heat spreading to the stud etc. So you are relying on differential heat/expansion to loosen the nut. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!!!!:cool3:
  20. No room to get that on. Probably need to use air cut off tool or if all else fails then the hot spanner technique will do it.
  21. No its not pretty quick....................................................... Its VERY quick. It is also driven by a very quick and committed driver. The car will sit on the tail of most Porche GT3 RSs. all day long. All the more remarkable when you consider that Bobs car was conceived as a fast road car with track capabilities not as a dedicated track day car.. Round the pits and on normal roads the car is very docile and well mannered. Shoot it down the exit to pit lane and on to a track it has the same mild even stance. There is no drama and no fear sitting alongside Bob. The new facilities are very smart indeed. Bob hires a "pit garage" for the day so i am able to bring the Estate car and tools etc inside and near the car. That means we can tweak and check between bursts out on track in the dry just like the F1 teams.:thumbup1: Couple that with all day availability of hot food and drinks PLUS the company of Bobs charming lady partner and you can see what a fun day this is. The icing on the cake at these track days is the interest and complements that the car attracts from other track day drivers. As Bob has already mentioned we just need to get rid of a couple of minor gremlins before we get the Toyo 888s AND the NOS added on. Roll on the next one. SLICKTOPS RULE:cool2:
  22. Well I came home from Santa pod. The younger of my two twenty + year olds bought a lovely selection of dinner items and a bottle of wine and cooked it all for the two of us. spanish chicken. garlic potatoes and a chocolate sweet all washed down with my fav Spanish Rioja!! YUM!! The elder daugjter and partner arrived later with a Large Toblerone and a similar but different bottle of Rioja. YUM 2.!! here they both are with their respective cards!
  23. Yep I will be there on the Sunday. I will be on the Zclub stand. Should be my first trip out in this.........
  24. The donor car needs to be currently MOTd and taxed. So does the receiving vehicle.. If the receiving vehicle isnt then there is another way. The donor vehicles owner can put the reg on a retention certificate. This can be transferred(assigned ) to you . You can then put it on your car when its taxed n tested.. If the donor car is not taxed and tested then the plate cant be transferred and is therefore worth nowt.
  25. North Weald Airfield is kinda simple to find if your computer has a Google Map facility. These days 300ZX.co.uk dont normally allow direct links to Z Club events.
