  1. There are lots of different figures published for the same cars . UK US and Aussie car mags all give different figures. 0 to 60 is a very limited and arbitrary assessment of any car and does bear much relevance to driving under normal road conditions.
  2. As already said ...it was busy at times!!
  3. Speed thrills..................
  4. Like many millions of others I will be watching some more footie tonite. If you wish to consider me a sheep then Im fine with that. I like being a rich, retired, multiple car and property owning, lager drinking old sheep.:thumbup1:
  5. After seeing the centre caps that I painted to a similar colour to my newly acquired SE37s Bobgenie asked me if I would re colour a pair of SE37s for his car. Challenge accepted. We both new before I started that it is impossible to 100% create the look of anodized aluminium with paint. With that in mind I made a start. Someone else had already painted them ...but it was way too dark.. I flatted them back and masked off the inner faces. I already had a paint process that worked so I just repeated it..... The final tone adjustment comes from misting on a very light coat of the "Rays Racing Bronze" aerosol supplied by Wheelpaints.co.uk. Once I was happy with the finish I clear coated them with matt lacquer.. It is a bit of a PITA to do but Im happy with the end result and so is Bob. Both the original anodised wheels on my car and the two Im painting "change" colour as the light falls on them. The camera doesnt show the differences too well. Some before ....and after pics. Ist two...before 2nd two ...after
  6. https://www.directcouriersolutions.com/product/car-bumper-from-just-34-95/ Hugely time consuming to wrap and pricey to ship. Check out the link I posted to see if the size of a 300ZX bumper fits their size limit.
  7. A quick copy n paste from my Tracklad fb group sums up my evening..................... There is also "photography" in the package so maybe I can post up some action shots.
  8. " Would you go ahead and bid on this Z or leave it alone."??? :scared::scared: I personally would have run away instantly on reading that..
  9. Pair of Toyo Proxes R888 in GG compound. 295/30-18. excellent condition. Good even tread depth all across. Over 4mm. These only have 5mm new. the pair collected. i can wrap as two packages if you want to arrange collection. PM or Email if you are interested. pmaczc@madasafish.com. Advertised elsewhere at the same time.
  10. A pair on NA stainless steel tubular headers. Modified and ready to fit. Good used condition. Fitting tubular headers to an NA is without doubt one of the best mods you can do to an NA engine. These were originally bought from the USA and modified to suit a RHD car. If you buy from the US then all the headers on sale are LHD fitment and require the RH O2 sensor boss to be relocated for RHD applications. They have only been removed as I have obtained some larger bore ones. Grab a bargain .approx half price over new + rewelding the boss. Price is Collect only. Im happy to ship at extra cost. Probably £10 for most UK addresses PM me on here or email me at pmaczc@madasafish.com

  14. Thanks Richard Thanks also to "Marc K Photography" for the original image which I edited/enhanced. https://www.facebook.com/Mkphotos73/?hc_ref=ARTuobWpcbSUKKD2OQbG6mH2heDOc4gloWTi1JMjDbnoQDWhSpT4W0eFYo-cUC-AmVo He has an album for Drift Day today and a separate one for Track Attack yesterday. Lots n lots of people having fun in their own cars in a safe and friendly environment.
  15. Maybe so Stephen. I have been blessed with good health so far in my retirement years so I intend to live life to the max while I can. Here is a little vid a fellow track lad posted. You can see what a fun little track it is. The vid is not very interesting but watch it up to the 4 min mark when you will see me get past him and another car.
  16. Indeed!! And I have got much more aggressive at Three Sisters with its new for 2018 track surface. I have booked an evening at Donington on Jul 9th for my next "day out":scared:
  17. Thank you Bri, Richard and others who have clicked likes.. I find it very addictive. It is hard to explain that feeling of driving right on the edge of your own and the car's limits. For me its the best "legal high" I can buy. It is only possible on tracks nowadays. I built the car to have some motorsport fun so thats what I do. Im not precious or protective about the car and Im not concerned about my own safety in such a strong well built car with good track safety gear fitted. Here is a pic from today..................
  18. Yep! Been there....done that. Not got the tee shirt as I used it to clean the wheels.
  19. Sat Jun 30. Left home at 8.00 for the drive up to Three Sisters Track near Wigan. Arrived and bought three track sessions. All good. Car performed well. the driver did too. Only one "Take it Easy" warning board shown after a partial off at the final 90 right.:scared: Nobody saw the other "moment" I had on a tightening left. I have been "off" before at that particular bend.!!:whistling: All in all a great day in perfect weather conditions with no dents to the car or the drivers pride.:biggrin: One or two fellow drivers said some very nice things about my slicktop and how well it goes on track. Thats always pleasing given the hundreds of hours I put in to making/building the car.
  20. Washing/polishing cars/wheels ranks equal no 1 with grass cutting. These are two of the most unsatisfying wasteful jobs in my book. So anodized 100%. Speaking from experience in the past when I had polished Woolrace slot mags on my 240Z. What a PITA.
  21. Holidays always slow down progress at home. I have three more parts to fit but in the meantime the car is on the road and running fine. 1. New speed sensor. 2. New rear discs... not urgent the existing one have a bit in them. 3. Different headers. i already have stainless tubular headers from one of the US suppliers fitted. They are all LHD design tho as everyone in China just copied the Stillen ones:whistling: They are OK once you re locate the RH O2 sensor boss and tap the pipe to get clearance on the steering column. I have now bought a pair of proper RHD design headers made in Japan. These have a better symmetrical tube design and are a larger bore. Every little detail is important in NA tuning so Im sure these will be better. Time will tell.
  22. Oh Yes.!! Especially on track cos you cant have windows open No aircon of course. No cold air at all really inside and a bare metal transmission tunnel right next to yer leg!:scared:
  23. I drove mine today..................................First time since October last year.:innocent: I decided last minute to go to the Three Sisters Track attack tomorro so I needed to put a few miles in the seat so I can readjust to the high revs, extreme noise, heat and generally harsh experience. It put a smile on my face.
  24. There are some nice parts on it.....but.... It was originally an Auto so doesnt have a 99 spec later g box. Although its a late spec car it has been in this country for a very long time so its not like a fresh import. Its had arch repair work. My 1990 car hasnt had that and its 10 years older.
