  1. Cheers Gary. I have to wait till end of june to put insurance back on this car. There are a couple of other jobs to do before then. I will be out n about in it in time for Coventry.
  2. My slicktop has been parked up and a bit neglected since late last year. Prepping and selling my spare slicktop, building a new trackday car and an exciting new house project in Spain have taken up most of my time, energy and money so far this year. However this week I met up with my buddy Bob Dixon and bought his Volk Racing SE37s complete with some used trackday tyres fitted:thumbup1: I got them on the car today and Im very happy. This has always been one of my favourite wheels. I also made a start to fitting the TwinZ rooftop spoiler that Howard kindly imported for me with his Twinz order. I should get that painted for a final fitting this week. Pics of today's progress......
  3. With complex multi adjustable systems you cant accurately adjust/measure them at home. You need laser alignment tools. You need to measure first to identify the problem.
  4. Following on from your statement there is only one conclusion to be drawn. One/some of your replacement components is wrongly adjusted/or faulty. Find a friendly and skilled Hunter Hawkeye operator and ask him for an initial print out. That will allow you to quantify the problem. If the operator can adjust it to correct settings then good. If not then its a recently changed component that is faulty.
  5. Remember this......................................:scared: "Light lamp post damage"
  6. The Z32 is a unibody there is no chassis. The current owner of the car being discussed clearly has no idea what he actually owns or how it was put together. Its a 50:50 chance since there are two cars called 300ZX!!
  7. I suspect the original car builder knew what he was doing too. You dont get MSA logbook paperwork on a pile of junk. That cage, Full Sabelt harnesses(not cheap ones.) Fully plumbed in fire ext system etc are all clues to a decent build back in the day.
  8. I have eventually got some of this listed on Ebay...!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282955901629?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 If anyone on here wants the additional bits not shown on the Ebay advert but shown here I can add them in Free to the sale. Just let me know beforehand.
  9. Its an interesting story Richard. i can fill you in on a few details when we next meet up.
  10. It comes with a 2 year warranty. You can buy four of them cheaper than Z Centre Nissan one. Whats wrong with the casting?? Have you bought a batch of them and found them faulty??
  11. Richie has all his UK sourced items sent to his PM address in the North. I have just sent a column cowl with Royal Mail to him at his Parcel Motel address.
  12. Did you pay thru Paypal goods and services??
  13. Im impressed.:thumbup1:
  14. It was Alic!! I think he is on a tour of the Bermuda Triangle of questions.......................................... 1. what oil??? 2. Will these wheels fit??? 3. whats the best tyre???:lol::lol:
  15. What a great opportunity to increase it even more!! Im falling behind as im still in the 5K area:thumbdown:
  16. I am being "nice" And I already wished him a Happy Birthday on FB this morning.
  17. Gotcha!!! Thats the maximum price I pay! the oil is 10-40:yes:
  18. For the record I use 12- 95 oil. Semi synthetic.
  19. Decision made then:clap: Dont forget to post a picture of the empty can when you have done it:biggrin:
  20. :lol::lol::lol:
  21. When "oilman" posted up threads in the past the debates rambled on and ..........on. This will be the same...... all the usual suspects will jump in to give their opinions and help their post count . no car forum ever agrees on "the best oil" So I have a suggestion as you are a bright young well educated university student........................ Make a decision all on your own... buy it.........then post up a picture of what you have bought. Shocking suggestion I know.... deciding something on your own without three days of internet debate.:scared: :lol::lol:
  22. Any paint motor factor can mix it for you.. Some places have spectrometers so if you are buying a reasonable amount and can take in a sample panel (metal not plastic ideally) they can match it up maybe a little better to your probably faded original. But the off the card formula is a pretty good match. FYI All Nissan 300ZX colours are basecoat and laquer finishes including the solid colours.
