  1. I have just "found" this in my storage room??:whistling: It doesnt fit my slicktop. Im assuming this is for the "family" version? Can someone confirm this is a 2+2 carpet?
  2. Darren is just finishing yours as we speak Richard. Here is a FB pic I saw of him tidying up your bodywork...allegedly:biggrin:
  3. Cheers mate. I'm happy with it. As you are well aware Im not looking for a top quality external finish on my car. Something tha'ts OK from 10ft away will do!! As above Stephen.... It will do for me.
  4. Wheel centres...round two............................................ I have been to my local paint factor and he has mixed me a tin of Fiat Marrone Volcanico. We also looked at a lot of other colour chips. It seems to us that the Fiat colur is as good as it gets. It is a bit too dark if sprayed normally so I have used a silver base coat and then misted the marrone on top, stopping to check after each coat. Im satisfied with the final look . The misting technique gives a coarser finish which is close to the raw anodized alloy. Just got to do three more to match now!
  5. The picture of Bob's car has different wheel on the back. 10.5" i believe.
  6. I have no problem with you all having logos where ever you want. I like my plainer look. I just have my "club" window graphics and a small "Automodz" one on the rear window, cos without Mark's help and experience I would never have got the car on the road. The rest of the car is a no graphic, badge sticker area.
  7. Well Im not overly impressed with this....................... And its worse in the sun! It looks like a trip to the paint factor tomorro to see if he can mix some " Fiat 750F Marrone Volcanico. 1991-97" Which "allegedly" according to "The Internet" is the closest colour.:whistling: Of course I do know that perfectly matching an anodised finish with simple paint is not going to happen. Im just hoping for a little more dark bronze tint. Watch this space..................
  8. Grafics???:thumbdown::thumbdown: My car is already overloaded with grafics:scared: Thanks for the offer tho.:thumbup1:
  9. That's not a given by any means. There are still plenty of 300ZX small parts littered about among the existing community. Do you really want to spend your limited free time hawking about sleazy scrapyards??
  10. I wanted to get some wheel centre caps to replicate the look on Bob's car. After some measuring etc and ebay searching I came up with these. Size is spot on. They are made of tough non breakable ABS type plastic. I just need to get painting. I already have some replica Volk paint that I will try. I have also found some useful references to other paints that may be a better match. Time will tell.
  11. Agreed!. I have two so I dont need to keep changing from posi to flat bits. One of the most memorable car breaking deals I ever did involved some delicate negotiations in sad circumstances but gave me the opportunity to by a huge amount of Snap On tools at a very low price. And the whole deal only came about thru being a member of this club. Food for thought for those who baulk at paying to be a member.
  12. The rear end tidy up is now complete. Roof spoiler fitted (for better or for worse??) I cant get the two screws fitted towards the centre as my arms are too short. They will wait till I have help. Twinz diffuser just in plain black ATM. Polished out a couple of runs in the lacquer. I also tinted the rear/side markers to make them less obvious and less of an eyesore. Its no good filling the holes in with filler as it will just crack on a urethane type bumper. The exhaust got a quick clean too. I stopped short of polishing it as Im not that sad/obsessive. The next job is to see if I can fix a non working speedo.... joy of joys.
  13. I can send you one/two. Where do they live and what are they for?? I can check them out on my car maybe before sending. PM me.
  14. And that was just with relatively small items. The logistics of a large volume fibreglass order just multiply the work and risk. And the Twinz dont exactly figure in the top ten of "reliable suppliers" IMO of course. Fair play Edd for even considering it. I dont mean to come over as "negative" as Im not. I was involved when Mark Kent did the last one.
  15. There are some "rules" surrounding group buys........ Newish members probably need to read the whole club section on this...... https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?109039-Please-Read-Regarding-Group-Buys
  16. So who is going to step up and take responsibility for this group buy? Looking at the comments so far its going to take months to get funding in place. It will probably run in to 2019! What about prices? currency changes are inevitable in this current climate. Going on past experience it will be a lot of work and time and effort for whoever takes this on.
  17. Do you need one like the pic "300ZX"???
  18. The colour IS stunning Howard as is the quality of the finish. If only I had the facilities and the skill set to produce work like that. Oh well Im finished now and will just have to be happy with my own work.....which I am. But it looks like the Twinz diffuser needs painting now.... So that opens up a new can of worms..... "What colour shall I paint my diffuser?? Maybe I should head over to FB for a quick poll??:lol:
  19. While I had the paint stuff all set up I decided to refresh the rear bumper lower area. Years of it sitting outside in the same direction to the elements had oxidised the lacquer a bit. Ideal dry warm conditions for painting too:thumbup1:
  20. LOL!!! So now we cqn have some "fun in the sun" and an interesting debate all in one thread.:thumbup1:
  21. Thanks for the pic Andrew. Interesting stuff.
  22. Absolutley no need to apologise Joel. Im just as keen to be serious as I am to have a bit of fun. Like you propose it probably wont have a big effect in any normal circumstances. A little more downforce would be useful.
  23. Another view of the roof spoiler. Even if you didnt really want one. Its also another opportunity to post a picture of my highly reviled rear light set up. Apart from keeping crap off the window i wonder if it actually has any true aerodynamic benefit??:whistling: I was just going to paint it black but now I think I might do it Electric orange colour to match the roof. Maybe I should have one of these dreadful discussion threads that start off like this....... " Im getting a respray soon so I was wandering what colour I should paint it"....tra la la la la... etc:lol:
  24. F 8.5" ET40 R 9.5 ET40. Very similar to my Ultralites that I have taken off. I have left the 10mm spacers on the front that I had although the Volk clears my Brembo caliper without it.
