  1. Nope! ALWAYS based at Elvington right from the first event.
  2. Bobgenie wants to get a team going . So between us we need to get this up and running. Looks like some PMs needed to get this off the ground.
  3. yep that little plastic box is very carefully designed to enable the pump to pick up the last of the fuel.. The level in there remains higher than the rest of the tank at low volumes cos that is where the return pipe drops its fuel in.
  4. IMO you should have left well alone. Nissan spent a lot of time and money getting thing correct on the car. I think you will now find you have made things worse not better by cutting holes in the inner container.
  5. Pretty much what I was saying to you a few days ago Gaz but much better put. I have learnt something from that article.:thumbup1:
  6. I was the original fitment for Emerald along with JD I still run a K3 Emerald with a modified CAS disc. As Jaffa has already said the K6 runs with the Nissan CAS disc. I added a Techedge wide band Lambda sensor and matching AFR guage so I can watch the coloured segments change as the needle goes round!!! Im hoping to upgrade to a K6 unit this year but to be honest my K3 system runs spot on as is.
  7. Correct. Blue glass on import cars on blue and silver cars mainly.
  8. Just ask on Shiply. You will then get some quotes.
  9. nope! Not me. Mine is custom metallic black(shiny) with electric orange pearl on the roof:sleep:
  10. Apart from the fact its boring!!:tt2:
  11. We even have our own Trader to ask....................................http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?115-OPIE-Oils Guy is a top bloke if you need to ask any real questions. Apart from that a search on the forum will reveal as many opinions about oil as there are members.
  12. I might have a look for that tomorrow.. Ideal fodder for NA engines:biggrin:
  13. 2K primer followed by 2K gloss. Std fast hardener should be OK provided you can get enough heat worked up in advance. There are "faster " accelerators too. The BIG problem now is damp air and cold damp metal. A perfect recipe for micro blistering later:thumbdown: As already discussed 2K products contain harmful isocyanates so you need a twin organic vapour charcoal mask as a minimum. Many would advocate a filtered fresh air supply. As usual call to discuss further
  14. yes indeed.. Which one??? And where??? Silverstone?
  15. Hydraulic handbrakes using the existing brake hydraulic lines are not legal . You need a separate system to the main footbraking system.
  16. And remember that front and rear studs are slightly different.
  17. clearly you have a non ABS NA. It was optional on the NA. Like lots of useless stuff was. Check you BMC and see how many outlets you have!!! IIRC it is a diagonal split system??
  18. It was like that when I bought it from the dealer in Bham. They were the only other owner here in the Uk and had only registered it to sell it. So I assume it was done in Japan.. Either a break in or a "lost the key job??? I dunno.
  19. And if they are from a Z33 then "Have you got the bolts??? Cos if not the price is eyewatering!!
  20. One day I will deeply regret selling that car.:pinch: Congratulations on a good purchase.:cool3: That is a very rare car here in the UK and Mark has added hugely to its spec/value:yes:
  21. Modifying suspension is a huge area of interest. And the answer to your question would cover more pages than I can type in one evening. However lets make a start..... There is no single "best way" item or even group of items. You firstly need to define the ultimate use of the car. You cant create a "best " compromise car to multitask. So lets look at Bobs car(Bobgenie) for those who dont know. One of the best ways to make a Z32 go fast round bends is to choose the correct Z32. Well as you might guess there is only one "best " configuration... the slicktop. Lightest. Stiffest shell..End of discussion. Everything else is just second best and I am being serious AND objective here. So now we have a shell we are going to create a fast cornering"Time Attack" type of car. Jaffas slicktop fits the bill just as much as Bobs. Every stock component that can be uprated and or made adjustable needs to be done. You need to pick new high quality items, designed and fit for purpose. There is one key component that many people overlook... more of that later. Clearly wheels and tyre combo are of huge importance. Big fat and sticky are the order of the day. Now try and think of weight as "mass" in a dynamic situation not a static xxxxkgs. Less mass means there is less force trying to chuck you in the armco. And then we progress to aerodynamics. Often overlooked at club level. Now I can go on but maybe you dont want me to. How much more detail etc do you want/not want........................:innocent:
  22. Good reminder!! mine is due any day now i think???
  23. OK here are the facts. No chain yanking going on. The top width measurement on the glass on the SWB is almost 2" more than the LWB one. Since the Zeemax mounts on the bodywork adjacent to the glass it wont fit properly on the SWB as it will be half over the metal and half over the trim/glas. If you get one that mounts on the glass then there will be a strip of glass showing on the outside. That will be no good either Nod if you get it:yes:
  24. You buy the kit which is....................................... then buy two calipers. Job done
