Or just buy the "weld in" version! http://www.jjcraceandrally.com/rally/accessories/omp-weld-in-eye-bolt-plate- Time Attack Round 3, Snetterton Jun 9th
Guys can we please keep this thread on topic.... Time Attack Snetterton Ta- New member of the family
Congratulations to you both!!- Headlamp washer relay????
Hi Redwine300. That quote is possibly relevant. The fault I have is the headlights all come on at once and you cant turn off the main beam. The switch and the flasher switch all work 100% as do both blue relays and the black one in the main fuse box. There is something wrong in the current supply to the black relay. A Nissan schematic of the wiring shows it has a common feed with the headlamp washer and these two diodes are there to prevent "back feeding" Faults in them would explain my lighting problem. In other words power is getting to both sides of the main beam relay all the time. My mate is looking in to this for me hence the need to find where the Diode pack is located in the loom????- Headlamp washer relay????
thanks for that. There are two diodes in a pack which control wires associated with the headlights which is where I have a fault. I will look at the wiring in the arch ... maybe the diodes are near the relay???- Headlamp washer relay????
If a Z32 has one fitted where is it located???? Secondly ... the wiring diagram shows a Diode pack in the circuit. Where is that located??- Time Attack Round 3, Snetterton Jun 9th
The next Time Attack event is in Sunday 9th June at Snetterton Race Circuit. Its part of the "Modified Live" show/day. http://www.snetterton.co.uk/calendar/2013/june/modified-live.aspx Both Bobgenie and Jaffa are "good to go" Snetterton is flat and fast. Check out the picture in this link..... http://www.timeattack.co.uk/index.php/events/item/66-snetterton-sunday-9th-june Bring it on!- Time Attack Round 2. CROFT
No youre not using an NA Diff!!! You are using a TT diff with a 4.1:1 CWP and a Quaife LSD fitted in place of the Nissan Viscous one.:winkiss:- Help shipping stuff from America?
Fedex economy from the US is a good value service. The order is fully tracked at all stages. It is only handled by Fedex employed staff. Thats why thousands of Ebay sellers in the US use them. Any reputable seller of high value goods wont entertain using anyone else(UPS are normally as good) The USPS service is a second best but still OK but the weak link is that Parcel Force are their partner over here Since its Air freight its never going to be cheap. If you deffo want it to go missing or get damaged then use someone cheap and cheerful with surface shipping(Sea) That means it will be handled by sub contractors and 3rd party agents. It may well sit in an unguarded container on a dock!!! It might take weeks to arrive and it might be wet, damaged or have bits missing. You might think that by insuring it then you will be safe....Ha Ha!!!!- Help shipping stuff from America?
No company works for free. They are collecting the Vat and duty on behalf on HMCustoms and charge for it. I dont like paying any more than you do but all freight companies make a charge for handling the transaction.- Time Attack Round 2. CROFT
Thats a great offer.... however you probably dont need to bring any tools as things have moved on from when you saw the cars last year at Snetterton. Let me explain......................................... Bob now has full on event support from Eurospec. They handle everything including the fluid checks and wheel changes that I used to do. They also have rebuilt this car for this season and so are able to offer full technical support on the day. That was something that Bob needed. Similarly James now has Jimmer with him on events as well as back in the workshop to do whatever is needed.. routine checks, tyre changes and tech stuff. For Snetterton Jimmer is on holiday so I will be assisting James with tyres etc. (but little to no tech help:huh:) and I will bring my usual travel tools, low level jack, rattle gun torque wrench etc etc. James also has a few tools in his tow vehicle. So come along and enjoy. Please introduce yourself to me when you arrive as I "might" need a hand if wheel changes are the order of the day and Im not passing up on your offer:innocent:- Time Attack Round 2. CROFT
There were just the four of them this time out in the RWD section of Club class Only 17 entries overalll in club class. A bit down on Cadwell . Too far north for some!!!- Help shipping stuff from America?
You cant have your cake and eat it. If the seller under declares it on the shipping manifest to avoid some of the duty then you wont be able to make an insurance claim if it all goes wrong for any more than the declared value.- Time Attack Round 2. CROFT
Indeed. Both Bob and James loooked and sounded good out on track. Final times were.... Bob....1.39.74. 3rd in class James... 1.39.80. fourth in class Yes they were close. In comparison the class winner Umar Masoood in his RX7 did a 1.35.96 So both 300s are just 4 secs off. Remember Umar is a VERY seasoned competior. And Darron Wall did a 1.37.08 in his rapid VX220 to take second in class behind Umar.- Time Attack Round 2. CROFT
Yep! Both of them are in the Club Challenge class.. In my opinion.. if you are coming to watch and enjoy the day then aim to see official practice late morning and both afternoon sessions. It just gets more bonkers as the day goes on. Faster and more furious.. As said they are not actual races but the object in the 15 min session is to get one clear "fast" lap. Sounds simple :innocent:... and it would be if you had the track to yourself BUT with 25+ other drivers trying to do the same thing at the same time and occupy that very same bit of track..... it aint simple. And thats just the Club guys. I rarely get to see the pro classes as Im back with Bobs car (or James sometimes) in the pits but its a repeat of the Club session but even more bonkers. Its actually quite addictive when you get in to it.- Time Attack Round 2. CROFT
Nothing much to do with me... The guys at Eurospec did it. I did supply a some replacement doors tho.- TOTB XII - July 27th-28th
Well it looks like there are enough people to make a team. Lets get Croft and Japfest out of the way this weekend. Then we can set a "closing date" for team entries.. It will also give us time to determine the best/correct way to pay and form the team. I will be there to assist/organize . It looks like there are enough entrants without me being part of the team which is fine by me. I may still take part tho... just cant commit ATM- Time Attack Round 2. CROFT
Indeed! Im at the Travelodge Frid nite.- Time Attack Round 2. CROFT
The second round of the Time Attack series for 2013 takes place on Sat May 11th Bobgenie and Jaffa are both confirmed as "good to go". This round is at Croft Circuit near Darlington(up Norf!!) James/Jaffa will have Jimmer as support and Bob will have to put up with me plus some support from the guys at Eurospec. Anyone going is welcome to pop along and say hello. For those of you who dont know both cars compete in the RWD section of "Club class" so they are in direct competition with each other as well as the rest of the cars in their calss. Attack at Croft 11 May 2013 General Time Attack information The Time Attack Series is dedicated to representing the aftermarket scene and to providing a relevant motorsport to those within the scene. As a result we have formulated various classes within Time Attack that allow us to accommodate almost every level of driver and car type/marque and class them into a category that is fitting for that level, making any achievement relevant, substantial, meaningful and more importantly- sporting. Time Attack is open to ALL marques and contrary to popular belief Time Attack is not just for the high-end tuner cars with large budgets. Since Time Attack was introduced to this country in 2005 we have worked hard to formulate classes that appeal to the guy on the street through to the high end tuners (from within the ultra competitive aftermarket tuning scene) that come to battle for Time Attack honours.
