  1. Oooooh its game on then Mr Blobby:tt2: At this rate we will have more 300s on track than Japfest.
  2. Jeff has indeed retired and Zedworld is no longer operating. Im sure some members down your way will be along with suggestions for work in your area. I use Mark Derby at Automodz in Nottingham but thats not in the southeast !!
  3. For buyers like me the GSP has allowed access to hundreds of US sellers who were not available before as they wouldnt ship outside the US. I have been using it since its inception without any issues. I allows me to calculate the delivered price before buying. So I can then re sell here with confidence knowing i will earn a small profit. I have also used it to buy some Z32 parts for myself that nobody in the UK can match pricewise. Im not in agreemet with your assesment of the situation. The 20% vat charge is estimated and paid in advance. In the unlikely situation of customs not agreeing with the assesment the difference will only be minimal. Look at it this way Ebay sellers are now selling hundreds of thousands of items through the program. If it wasnt working "as advertised" then it would have been withdrawn.

  5. Follow the Facebook link for most of the info. There is a phone number to book in advance for track time or you can take a chance on the day. Sessions are £20 for 10 laps. Book as many as you want
  6. Not very much given what Noel has to say about them.
  7. Well somebody else took a pic of me!!!!! http://rdsmith.zenfolio.com/powerfest-2015/h482e796f#h482e796f
  8. You probably will but Im fancying my chances at 3 Sisters on track. Are you bringing the white car?
  9. Just go on a diet!!:tt2: You will go faster as well with less weight:yes: :lol:
  10. So £50 + shipping for a pair and they are crazed/cracked:thumbdown:
  11. Not an option for people who have cracked/split lenses which are very common
  12. If you have a hole in the system you will need LOTS n lots of fluid:lol: On a more serious note why did you go for race fluid?? Is it compatable with ordinary Dot 4/5 fluid???
  13. WTF!! Another Motor Trader who doesnt know what a Targa is!! Looks very nice tho. Remember this one WILL need a CAT test...9/95
  14. I personally would never use a rebuild kit on a 25 year old master cylinder. I would only use new. The bit that wears/deteriorates is the metal bore due to repeated abrasion with brake fluid contaminated with water etc as the piston moves in the bores. Most mainline garages wont do it. However its your car/life thats at risk if it fails .... so its your call.
  15. Well SHOCK ... HORROR... went to York Dragway as planned and found............................................. I was the only 300 as per usual:lol:. So in a "billy no mates " style I was forced to take pics of my own car on a day out!!:innocent: I had a great day out. Both car and driver were in top form. I ran a 14.61 at 92mph with a 60ft of 2.1. That ET is within 5/100s of a sec away from my personal best ever which I did at Santa Pod many years ago. Not bad for a first run out this year. Of course the figures look poor in comparison to Twin Turbo car times but with only 235 bhp to get me moving I was well chuffed. I know where I need and can improve too so a 14.5 or better is my next goal. Pics... First one of the RWYB class lanes. Second one .. me lined up in myclass.. Class D which is 2litres and over. No Turbos, nitrous or slicks. A much better system than the c*ap you have to endure in the fire up road at Santa Pod
  16. What about the car???? Does it need cleaning too??:whistling:
  17. Blue glass sold to Mondo. EDIT Mondo is not buying this glass now so available to others. Dougal 200..... email me at pmaczc@madasafish.com to discuss etc
  18. Who told you that then?? The person selling it to you? Someone constantly tells me on the TV that their lager is probably the best in the world but I dont like the taste .. I prefer my SanMiguel. Im sure you get the drift of what Im saying. I dont think our American friends are troubled much by the anti car/noise/pollution tree huggers that populate these isles. Anyway I digress... It may be the best exhaust system in the world but if you cant get on track with it and you personally cant live with the long term road noise then its not the best for you. Perhaps splicing in some cherry bomb type silencers or resonators in the decats is a good place to start? I dont know personally as the technical aspects of turbo exhausts and tuning are not in my (limited) database of automotive knowledge. Finding a balance between power, noise limits and driveability isnt easy and different cars/drivers will need different solutions. There are no definitive guides to 300ZX building as you are finding out. Welcome to an expensive world of trial and error.
  19. IMO you are attempting to treat the symptoms instead of addressing the root cause of the problem. In engineering terms that is never going to produce a correct answer. The root cause of the excessive noise is having the wrong/poorly designed exhaust on the car. Tinkering about with bungs and valves is like putting an Elastoplast on a broken limb. IMO changing/redsigning the exhaust is the best way to a long term result that will allow you to get out on track and drive on the road at an acceptable level of noise. All of course IMHO
  20. LOL!!! You are just over complicating a simple situation. No wonder you hardly ever drive the car. You dont need a neutral position switch....
  21. 275/40-17. ET Street radial. Road legal ... just. Only safe in the dry . I dont really agree that a 300ZX is horrid to launch. My car launches nicely without any problem.... apart from its lack of power!! Watch the vid of Bob on a good run like his 10 sec pass and you can really see how to launch a 300ZX. Horrid launches are normally down to horrid drivers on cheap tyres:lol:
  22. LOl! You have gone all technical on me!! I have no idea.:scared: I just pay other people to map my car....... then I drive it:biggrin:
  23. Just get rid of it altogether.
