  1. My old NA weighed in at 1320kg when lightened a bit. Im confident that the new track car Im building will be 1250kg. With fluids in but no driver.
  2. the system is VERY small:rolleyes:
  3. Spent most of today on my new satin black boot install. All the nasty stick on black stuff has been removed and replaced with a couple of coats of 2Pac Satin Black. I have used the latest nano technology sound system so the components are really small. Each one is just a micro-dot. all wireless of course, so no horrid cables everywhere. The components are all satin black too which along with their minute size makes them difficult to see in the picture. The ultimate "stealth install" :D Check out the pic
  4. the Abegwesyn Mountain road from Lanwyrtd Wells to Tregaron via Abergwysn. Either way!;)
  5. Looking back to the first generation Zeds for a moment..... The 260Z is the "same looking" car as a 240Z but it never has and probably never will command the price and respect of the first zed the 240Z. 96/97 imported Z32s are mainly in good nick etc as you say but the 99 spec car will be the one to have not only because of its subtle differences both cosmetically and structurally but because of its rarity.Rare cars always command higher values among collectors and as I originally said there will be enough "collectors" to buy up the few nice 99 spec cars that come along. IMO of course Other buyers who are just looking for "a nice Z32 " wont pay the premium price and will be happy with slightly older and more common cars. Hence prices will be higher and probably will remain that way
  6. :smash::smash::smash: :D:D:D:D What a chavtastic idea!! They are ferkin dim enough as it is :mac1:
  7. Eh- up Daz. I woz just talking to Boldy about ya at Bruntingthorpe on Sunday. I had a Spanish dinner here this week:) Boquerones Gazpacho Tortilla de patatas con ensalada. Not quite the same tho...... eating it in Langley Mill:x: :D
  8. Well if we want to be in it we need some photos:tongue: Soooooo...... we need to find a not nice, not pretty place to get some cars and peeps together. Lets not follow the masses and choose some silly green countryside or pretty cliff top with a sunset:nono: Lets go industrial, heavy metal scenery. A factory or a scrapyard or a powerstation Pretty photos with scenery are so 80s:xxx: So WHEN??? and WHERE??? suggestions........................................................
  9. do you have the chief mechanics phone number??? I need a full service...... Err EDIT... My CAR needs a full service. LOL silly typo error:rolleyes:
  10. Well said Alex. Lets hope it makes that sort of power and someone buys it who will actually put the car down a drag strip. Unless anyone knows different we are still waiting for a VG-engined 300 to go sub 12 sec. Sad really :( On a separate note I believe Lee is bringing his blue 300Zx to da Pod this Sat for Round 3 of the Z Club drag challenge.
  11. Yep its built in to the washer bottle. This is under the RHS front wing IIRC you will need to remove the front arch liner to get to it.
  12. Keep in touch tho. And just come along when you are up to it.
  13. Many a true word is spoken in jest.;) Peoples abilities and their willingness or not to wring the final few revs out of the car before it cuts out on the limiter will have a big bearing on overall performance times I have just spent the day at Bruntingthorpe thrashing mine to within 200 revs of its death point:slap: But thats what I bought mine for. It will get even more punishment on Sat this week when I attend Round three of the Z Club Drag Challenge at da Pod!
  14. You simply have no chance at all of doing a "top notch job" first time round. As already said even with medium range equipment it wont work . You will need to spend £500 on a compressor at least and then look at £200 + for a gun plus all the rest . Even if someone let you borrow a full professional booth for a month with all the right quality gear you will still produce an amateur looking job first time round, especially if you are attempting metallic base coat and clear over. A well intentioned idea in theory but doomed to failure from the outset IMO. Sorry no offense meant , you did ask what peoople thought. BTW I am a non professional sprayer with a fair bit of experience but I cant produce a "top notch" job still.
  15. No offense meant Vijay, as Im sure you know!;) You most deffo get an award for your patience and perseverance. :D I really hope you can get a result soon. You should be going in to see them every 2 or 3 days and asking the same questions as to what they have been doing and when its going to be done. In a polite way of course. Keep chasing them and checking exactly what they are up to.
  16. LOL!!! You do pick em Vijay
  17. LOL!! You know I am only kidding... it looks cracking mate!!!
  18. I think I liked the old scheme better!!:nelson: :D:D:D
  19. Its very cheap and I can just wait till you are ready. I did check on colour and it is UK blue but at the price Im charging it wont matter!!!
  20. Actually the 99 year cars will be 10 years old;) And enough people will buy them to sell the very few cars that were actually made. In todays world £10K for a drop dead gorgeous rare collectable sports car is not a lot of money at all. Plenty people pay that for 35 year old 240Zs:bow: I have already decided what colur/spec Im interested in and Im sure Im not the only forum member who has his/her eye on one. The cars are rare indeed by virtue of the low numbers sold and IMO there wont be any initial "surge" in availability. Just a steady trickle.
  21. But not for a Citroen!!!:smash: And the "free" zed one is still in the car .. so a 300mile round trip AND risk breaking it on removal means its not very free.;)
  22. Well the owner likes it.....:D flamin kidZ:rant:
  23. As the title says.... check it out. 91 GTI spec fitted to 97 Ascot:cool: Its not mine!!!!!!:nono:
