  1. Jealousy will get you nowhere:slap: I also get a great deal on insuring my Mondeo with Saga:dance:
  2. There is no need to remove anything from the engine apart from the fan. Slacken off all the old belts and remove. The fun bit is removing the existing crank damper pulley if it has not been off in a while!
  3. LOL!!!! Bit worrying tho that you would have to be there yourself to know Andy was there!;):rofl::rofl:
  4. it's a line lock. It allows the front brakes to be held on by a finger switch once the brake pedal is released. Its the safe and easy was to do a proper burn out at the drag strip without damaging the brakes or clutch. Its also great fun to do elsewhere(on a private track of course):slap: i think Andy just buys takeaways from McDonalds so he can impress the chavs in the car park:rofl: :D:D:D
  5. No its not. Its around the right figure for a limited mileage "classic car" policy. I pay £288 for TWO cars on a similar policy with an insured value well over £10K
  6. Yep! someone should be buying that tomorrow .
  7. LOL!! It was bad enough fighting my way along Eastern Avenue at 8.30am in the morning... never mind looking for Zeds parked up! Nobody told me the flyover was shut:(
  8. Please dont bother with any more pics. These are bad enough:slap: :D:D:D
  9. And i dont suppose anyone else will be running a Zed there :o
  10. Lots of new engine stuff dropped off today at Charlie's Workshop(CTM Performance)in Dagenham. Did 340 miles Nottingham- Dagenham- Nottingham and as usual NO ZEDS spotted. There were at least 10 million other cars on the A14/M11/A12:o
  11. I did try and borrow yer Zed at Santa Pod but they said I couldnt;)
  12. Yep. Now for sale by Lee at Importance on this forum
  13. So what were you driving????
  14. I wont be there. The weather will deffo be better where I am going:D
  15. TT and NA alternators are the same Size wise. The TT one produces 10 Amps more at full output. Probably needed to power the turbos:D
  16. Great idea!.......... But I think you will find that Trinster is one of our lady members so engine swap on her own might be a bit tricky;)
  17. I dont see how putting on another exhaust is going to help. The damage is done. The seals now leak oil and only new seals/ recon will fix the problem. 130/140 compression is not brilliant but isnt terminal either. There should be more mileage in the engine provided it isnt abused/thrashed.
  18. I will be in Dagenham early Thursday morning. If you drive down Wantz rd I will "spot you" and put a post up!!! Ill be Mondeo mounted tho:cry: but the Mundane will have 300Zx goodies inside!!! Does that count:rofl::rofl:
  19. Much safer to use a solid bar. They are very cheap to buy if you dont have one.
  20. Gaz you get 10 outta 10 mate for being a good sport and having the courage to take your car out on the black top, especially on Jap Show day as a novice. You were subjected to a fair bit of fire up road "wind up" by me and on the strip i deliberately sacrificed my ET to "out stage" you. I got in "deep stage" for that run and put all the effort in to reaction time.;) All in good fun of course as you have realized. Its just a shame a few more members wont come along to play. Its good fun as you have found out.:D:D
  21. Yep ... wot Paul said. carry on as normal doing a good job every day for your current employer. Be proud the day you leave. you never know what the future holds. you might go back one day.:)
  22. Well not quite true!!:slap: I was first over the line by 0.09 sec. Check out that pink slip!! I know your ET was better(as it should be) but looked on as a race... I won!!:nana2:
  23. Well Im sorry to hear that Andy cos I woz lookin forward to us makin a lotta smoke together tomorrow! Hope you can get it sorted early enough to still get there.:)
  24. Thats what makes this one worth doing.. It is in excellent overall condition with minimal rust. that and the fact that its owner wont part with it even tho she could buy a new car!! I have only rattle can painted it for now as it is needed for work next week. But when I get it back I will spray the whole rear quarter so the repairs will be completely invisible. Final pic......
