The window motor only has 2 wires feeding it. +ve and -VE. You just need to run two wires from any car battery to these two feeding the motor. if it doesnt work one way round then just reverse the wires. Dont hold the live feed on for too long tho or you will burn out the motor. If this doesnt qwork then it will be the motor itself that is Fooked not the little black relay box.

Machine Mart have a good middle of the road range under their "Professional Tool Programme " Not up to 365/24 use but plenty good enough for keen amateurs. my local store in Derby has a really helpful and knowledgable manager who has often guided me in what to buy and in many cases what not to buy.Plenty of choice and a good range of tool cabinets to keep it all in.

IMO. you need to stand back from your emotions and carefully examine every square inch of your shell. if your outer and inner sills need replacing then there is also the third inside reinforcing panel which will be rotten too. If you are even half thinking the floors need repacing then consider the fact that all your hidden box section structures will be even worse inside. Ie your chassis rails and the front rad support panel, also the inner lower rear arch sections. inside the double skinned rear arches. also inside the tailgate and doors. The 300ZX shell is extremely complex and no matter how much rust you cut out there will still be areas left, especially in triple seam areas etc. This will resurface to haunt you in the future without doubt. Also if your shell is as bad as you say then all your suspension members may well be corroded too. Going back to my original area of expertise the 240Z there is now no way that rusty UK 240Zs can successfully be restored. The only way forward is using virtually rust free Californian import shells and treansfering all the stuff over. I believe we are fast approaching this situation with many UK registered 300ZXs, and in this case the source of rust free shells is from Japan . i have a virtually immaculate Series 2 NA Man 2+2 whose future is in some doubt. You are welcome to have a look at it to see for yourself just how rust free these recent Jap imports really are. Im not really bothered about selling it as a rolling shell as I have an engine to replace the faulty one it came with but Im always open to offers. I have attached a couple of pics

In that case just do one thing each day that costs and spend the rest of the walking/sitting about.Just soak up the atmosphere. Nobody has mentioned taking the River boat trip all the way up/down the Thames. This IMO is THE BEST "thing" available to do. The River Thames IS LONDON. gives you a wonderful perspective on the whole city. Its not of course so spectacular as the EYE thingy but it lasts much longer and you see more stuff close up.

Well lets look at some facts about the car. So far there have been lots of opinions and most of them relate to the driver not the car. i dont give two hoots how old you are or how much/little money you have. THE CAR. Its one of the earliest made and now showing signs of rust in the body. If you can see rust externally then there is FAR WORSE hidden in double skinned panels. Expensive to repair. Just been sprayed in the last 18 months and rust coming thru already!!! Not a good sign. Time to get that magnet out to look for filler I think. just deduct a minimum of £500 to rectify. Could be more unlikely to be less. The magnet will tell all. Needs four tyres 235 and 255 17s. That will be £400 off the asking price to start with. FORGET part worns. Those that arent from "accident damaged" UK cars are imported from Europe without any history so assume they have been thrashed mercilessly down the German autobahns. After all why did the original owner part with them if they were any good. Its already had one replacement engine. Not a great sign of a well maintained car. Replacement engine of unknown history and condition(unless your cousin has a written warranty on the engine which is still valid. I doubt it.) Rear Hicas steering faulty?? Well if it looks like there are problems then there deffo will be problems. Minimum figure of £400 to fix( new hicas eliminator, new end links, new end bushes etc) So deduct another £400 from asking. Its a non runner at the moment. Great!! I buy non runners for spares at £500 maximum. Non standard bumper ... and its damaged. Deduct £250 to cover cost of obtaining good s/h stock bumper and get it fitted/painted. Hand break u/s. probably means the rest of the brakes are similar MOT failure then. Non runner, no MOT , no road tax, no insurance. So nobody can test drive it to see what else is wrong can they.Gearbox?? clutch??? Turbos??? Prop vibration, diff whine etc etc Im always willing to look/ drive cars and give an opinion but not ones that are illegal to drive. If the seller gets it legal to drive then I will come and have a look. No point otherwise cos as has already been said in its present condition its a SPARES/REPAIRS project car.
