  1. Oh no it isnt:nono: The sensor ring and the sensor are located on the diff.
  2. Yep! New metal is the ONLY way. How much?? Well that depends how much you need doing and who is going to do it.
  3. Thousands of business users clock up millions of miles happily driving Ford Mondeos. £4000 will buy you a 2002 ish Ghia or Ghia X. with less than 100000 on the clock.. The 2l petrol and diesel engines are both superb. I have a 130 bhp diesel. Its quick enough, reliable and does 46 to the gallon. I did 350 miles in it on Monday with total ease and comfort. Even towing a car transporter only used £45 of fuel. And as its a Ford everyone has parts for it and they are cheap to service. Its an accepted "business car"
  4. Exactly! And the only advice I would give in the NA section is .... "remove the turbos.... completely" :):):)
  5. Water based paint is DULL. Cos its base coat. its the lacquer on top that is shiny:tongue:
  6. That will be Approx £295 with duty vat and handling. no idea what they are here.
  7. Nope! Sorry. It doesnt look good from any angle IMO. Looks "stuck on" too wide and too high off the bodywork.,The brake light looks like an afterthought from Halfords And the lights have that "home made " look. Sorry... Ill get me coat:wack:
  8. Yep shit happens with auto boxes. I sold one(not on this forum :nono:) to a friend/motor mechanic. The box came from a car which had front end damage. Engine and box even the rad were all untouched. We test drove it around my local short private test route the week prior to removal. Took it out. It sat around a couple of months before it was fitted...... went in to drive OK. My mate pulled away ... and it failed within a mile:eek:
  9. Lots of similarities with the average 300ZX forum member then:rolleyes: Quote.... know nothing of the outside world, and don't even know what a car is,... end quote.:)
  10. i would have thought that the police should have been more concerned about you driving around with a child on your bonnet:rolleyes::nono:
  11. It was a very very nice car mate. Most red cars look good in photos. Yours was even better in the metal.
  12. Its not just "rather silly"............Its very silly:tongue:
  13. No its called "assisting the committee":) or "creeping" :rofl:
  14. Check your front stud length carefully. I think they are longer than 20mm.
  15. I doubt if Nissan can supply a rear carpet. If they can it wil be silly expensive Im sure. Coverdale carpets in Lancs make car carpets to order. If they dont have a pattern in stock then they will make one from your old carpet. I have a top condition Black boot carpet from my old Black NA 2+2 available for very little money if you want it. Email me if interested pmaczc@madasafish.com
  16. Just buy some proper rat bait. (the blue impregnated grains) and keep putting it down where they run. Keep topping it up. When it stays untouched for a few days you know you are on the winning side!!
  17. Just get them "hot tanked" at the machine shop. they will come out looking like new. "Hot tanking" is basically a commercial dish washer... only it blasts everything inside with steam jets ... so not too good on china cups!! LOL
  18. Yep! Wot Dave said. Home paint job + plenum = S**t And as soon as you touch it you will scratch it. IMO only of course;)
  19. You wont need a specialist for the sill work. Just someone who is prepared to spend hours and hours unpicking three layers of rusty metal and replacing them with new. Not technically difficult but time consuming, which means at the silly labour rates you southerners pay, a large bill. If you need someone reliable and competent for suspension work then get in touch with Mike Feeeney on this forum in the traders section 01277 374201, His mechanic Carl is well trained in most general 300ZX w.ork. And unfortunately I wont get a discount for telling you this;)
  20. IMO.....:nono::nono: Point 1. as already said. 265 is for most people too wide at the front. Just not necessary for you and your car/style of driving. Point 2. 265/40-18 is too tall for a 300ZX. 265/35 -18 is generally accepted as "correct" Point 3. You havent mention the all important "offset". 300s need to have the correct offset both front and rear or you will end up with extra expense and messing with spacers , longer studs etc. Point 4. With any rear wheel drive car like a 300 having narrower at front and wider at back makes sense from a traction point of view and also from the "look" All IMO of course. somebody else will be along to say " Ive got these sizes and I like them etc"
  21. Feliz cumpleanos ! Un abrazo y un beso desde tu amigo.:D
  22. IIRC most electric fans are NOT reccomended for continuous use. IMO You need a thermostatic switch in the system
  23. Slit all the material off with a stanley blade and put that in black bags. Your recycling place should accept that.;) the seat frames are metal. at £150/ tonne you should soon find someone to accept them for free;) Works for me!!:D
  24. Doesnt look like it. IIRC the last time we had a stand at the Japshow was way back when Chunk was NEO. Z Club have got a stand booked. Get in touch with Mike at MJP to see if there are any passes available. Iv got mine reserved;)
  25. Can you get in touch. I have a friend interested!!!;)
